Lynn is an amazing host. So welcoming, took us around the cottage on arrival and made sure we knew how to work everything. The log burner and hot tub were real stand outs, and perfect to take the edge off on a winter’s night.

On the buses!
We were delighted to learn we could stay in the countryside and have access to a bus route, having travelled to Whitchurch by train from Cornwall. The November weather was kind, we walked and explored a lot considering we had no car. The canal walks were fascinating and The Retreat with its log burner was a joy to return to.
