Our first trip to the Cotswolds

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location, perfect for a relaxing break away, located within easy reach of lots of the major sites and attractions. The enclosed garden was ideal for our two dogs who were able to run around at will. The cottage was very well equipped, quiet and very comfortable although we did notice that some fixtures and fittings could benefit from a more thorough dusting (the chandeliers, for example). We also noticed a few ants throughout the property although this was not a major issue during our stay. We would definitely stay again if visiting the Cotswolds.

Perfect

A perfect location for a really relaxing break - beautifully presented inside with all you need! Cosy and clean with a great outlook at back watching the birds and montjac Deer - south facing so great for sitting in sunshine! Visited all our favourite villages and walked to the pub at Ebrington and farm shop Veg Matters for coffee and cake! Definitely recommend and we will be back when we need a recharge as it’s perfect for chilling out

Another super stay !

This is the third time we have stayed at Perry Cottage and we love it. Fantastic location for exploring the area, very comfy bed and a real home from home, with everything catered for. Great outside space both for the dog and us. Would definitely recommend.

First trip to Cotswolds

This was mine and my partners first trip to the Cotswolds and we’ve come away from it debating whether we want to move our family to the area. The property itself is great, the weather really made a difference and was bright blue skies all weekend. Couldn’t fault any part of the property at all, comfy bed, lovely log burner and it was just 10/10. I’m not one to write reviews, but it was just such a great trip that I had to leave a note to say thanks. We visited Stow, Bourton on water, Broadway and Burford and it was a joy to visit each town/village. We will be back and we will be booking through you guys again. Thanks, Rob

Outstanding little cottage

Perry Cottage was even nicer than the photos. It was warm, cosy and comfortable, we enjoyed using the log burner. The garden was lovely, with a rural outlook,we can imagine how lovely it would be relaxing there in the warmer months. Plenty of wonderful walks locally.

Long Weekend

Visiting Perry Cottage again was a real treat, we have stayed here before and so glad we booked to go back for a birthday weekend. The garden is an added extra for our two Labradors, plus walking on the idyllic local public footpaths. Everything you could want and need is inside and you are not a million miles away from a town. I would not hesitate to return again for another guaranteed great stay.

Wonderful find

Perry Cottage is a lovely property perfectly placed for exploring the Cotswolds. The enclosed garden was great for our Beagle and we enjoyed the views over the orchard beyond. There are plenty of footpaths from the door and we would definitely like to return.

Ideal cottage for couples visiting the Cotswolds with dogs

An attractive warm and cozy cottage, all on one level with great parking and immediate access to the private dog friendly garden. The kitchen was well equipped with access to the garden and was a nice size. The living room was comfortable with decent size digital television, deep sofas and a large round dining table. There was also access to the patio. The bathroom was en-suite and was very clean. The towel rail didn’t seem to work, the shower controls very stiff and the spring plug for the bath allowed water to drain away. As mentioned in previous comments that although there was always very hot water, there seemed insufficient for a bath. The bedroom was very comfortable with a large bed, great pillows and quality bedding. The separate WC in the hallway was useful. It was a shame that the grass had not been cut for several weeks and there were many weeds among the lavender. Not a great first impression. We were also unable to locate the hole for the rotary dryer. Unlike the picture of the local Churchill pub in the photo gallery, it is no longer open having suffered a severe fire in 2022 which is a shame for locals and visitors. This should be updated. It is a very quiet location and the neighbours will point out that the car park is on private property. You are no more than 15 miles from all of the great Cotswold hotspots.

Excellent cottage let down by poor cleaning. Again!

We stayed here 2 years ago but still same shoddy cleaning after previous guests - hanging dust under wall cupboards in kitchen. And above. TV stand very dusty. Spiders nestled in dust behind toilet in main bathroom. Was just the same 2 years ago! Main flat surfaces clean but not a thorough clean by any means. No light bulb in hall so coming back after dusk a bit tricky especially as garden plants are growing across the steps up to the door. Keysafe antiquated n difficult to use for the older traveller because it’s at ground level. Tiny ice compartment in fridge so iced up door won’t shut. Just the same as 2 years ago. My husband sorted it then but not this time. Lovely garden n patio at the back but had not been cleaned. Cup rings n grease on large glass table n charcoal on other table n chairs which the wind must have blown about. In the bedroom the window blind is not fit for purpose. It’s cut narrow n is cream so lets in lots of light from about 4.30 a.m. The windows could do with a clean. We would like to stay here again as the cottage is lovely n in an ideal location. If the owner could address these little niggles then we will come back. I know he’s spent an awful lot of money here since he bought Perry Cottage 2 years ago n with a bit of tweaking it could be perfect. Also, ran out of kitchen foil n no bin bags to be found! Still love Perry Cottage n would recommend especially if you’re after peace n quiet. No barking dogs across the way this time A lovely plethora of welcome goods - bread, butter, milk, juice, wine, eggs. Thank you, much appreciated. Have scoured the area since home n cannot find a better cottage. Just needs that little bit of attention. Really hope it gets it. We would love to return.

Enjoyable stay

Great stay at Perry Cottage. A well equipped cottage in such a peaceful location. The garden was lovely and perfect for our two elderly and arthritic dogs ( 14 & 17) to wander safely in. However if anyone has a young agile dog then sadly the garden would not be safe as the fence at the back of the garden has fallen over and any agile dog could jump over and be off. The fence appears to have been like that for some time as the grass is growing through it. For that reason I have given a 4 for condition. It is such a shame as it is an ideal place to stay with dogs, ours certainly enjoyed it and the cottage is lovely.

Lovely light, bright well appointed cottage overlooking an orchard, in a pretty village.

Having enjoyed our stay at Perry Cottage in April we booked another long weekend at this delightful bright and airy, single storied cottage. The livingroom is very light, due to the number of windows and patio door with a lovely view across the garden and down over an orchard. The kitchen is very bright too thanks to a glazed door and side lights. It is very well equipped and there are food supplies when one arrives beyond the usual tea, coffee and milk. This includes orange juice, granary bread, butter and eggs. The bedroom and well appointed bathroom both have yet more views over the garden and orchard. The garden is not overlooked and has a variety of comfortable seats both for lounging and sitting at the garden table. There are cushions for the chairs, stored in the summer house. We will definitely be booking Perry Cottage again.

Lovely idyllic location, very peaceful

Lovely cottage in a rural location, excellent for dog walking. Driving to Chipping Camden easily reached in 10 mins and other nearby villages easy to get to in car. Bed very comfortable. Could do with some blackout curtains in bedroom and the hot water for a bath didn't seem cope very well (only luke warm bath) but didn't really spoil the holiday. Good to have a choice of tv (sky, netflix etc.) Was lovely just sitting in the garden with very well equipped garden furniture. We will be back! Keysafe was slightly difficult to find, had to call local agent to find.

Exactly what we needed

Peaceful village, gorgeous cottage with a beautiful garden. Beautifully appointed. Exactly what we needed for a weekend break. Fantastic big bed and very nice living area. Only little comment would be that it would be nice if the blinds in the bedroom were a bit larger to fully cover the window so that light doesn’t sip in in the morning. Fantastic place

Great stay in a lovely cottage.

This was our second stay at Perry Cottage. The setting is perfect for us as there is a lot of wildlife around for us to see. All the chairs and the bed are very comfortable. The cottage has everything we needed for our stay and comfort. The broadband is fairly reliable. The area has so much of interest very close by including Moreton Market and lots of visitor attractions we were spoilt for choice. Loved the stay. Would be happy to go back.

Luxury in beautiful location

The cottage is beautifully and comfortably furnished, extremely warm and cosy. Everything we needed was catered for, for example good quality kitchen equipment, great Wi-Fi, big enclosed garden for dog. Amazing unspoilt views to watch sunset, we were lucky enough to see deer. Garden furniture also very comfortable. Lots of walks straight from the cottage and plenty of villages to potter around within a ten minute drive. Really enjoyed using the log burner too.

A wonderful, cosy, beautifully appointed nest for 2 (plus dogs)

What a lovely place Perry Cottage is! Really tastefully appointed (love the sofa!) but still cosy and comfy for us and our 2 small dogs. Great that there is an enclosed garden. Easy drive to all the places the Cotswolds has to offer. Can't wait to go back in the warmer weather and make use of the sun loungers on the patio to relax and look out on the lovely, peaceful countryside.

Wonderful start to the new year

We really enjoyed our stay at Perry Cottage. The setting and cottage are lovely. We really enjoyed the fire and the views. We had a couple of minor technical issues, likely due to the storm, but the agent and owner were extremely quick to respond. Thanks for such great service. We will certainly plan a return visit.

End of November week stay

Would return to Perry Cottage, found the location very convenient for shops/places to visit. It was comfortable, warm and quiet with easy parking and everything we wanted to do being only 20-30 minutes drive maximum. Only down side was the dishwasher didn't clean properly and the hot water was temperamental a few times when running the bath. Overall it didn't effect our stay, we enjoyed every minute. Thank you.

Lovely base for exploring the Cotswolds

An ideal base, very warm and cozy with a super comfortable large bed and cozy comfortable living room with a log burner. The garden exceeded all expectations. We stayed in winter and it was gorgeous. A summer stay would be utter perfection. Quality furniture, total seclusion, mature planting and views to die for. In the property, there were many considerate touches and the welcome items were a lovely surprise. We had problems with the electric car charger, but the response of the owner and agent was instantaneous and the issue was resolved swiftly. Excellent customer service. The only thing that needed a little improvement was in the kitchen. We found quite a few of the glasses / items of crockery / cutlery were a bit grubby / greasy, prompting us to feel we needed to give all kitchen items a wash before use. Other than that, it was perfection and we would certainly stay again.

Very nice indeed

We had a wonderful week. The weather was glorious so we sat out aplenty on the lovely patio. Garden furniture was great and the dog was safe as he wandered round...very peaceful and lovely views. Everything about the house was very good, nothing to complain about. We have stayed in some beautiful cottages over the years and Perry Cottage has been added to the list.

Perfect stay in a beautiful location

Perry cottage is a beautiful 1 bed cottage, perfect for a relaxing stay with my husband and 2 dogs. Everything you need is provided and is a true home from home. We took everything we needed for our weeks stay as we tend to be out all day walking and like to cook and relax in an evening. The facilities were perfect for this. Location wise we drove to different locations daily, this could be anything from 10 mins to 30 mins depending on where we chose. There are walks from the door to Chipping Campden and beyond. We’d recommend a visit to Broadway, this was the most picturesque place we visited. We ate out a couple of nights and would recommend the Ebrington arms, a 2 minute drive away. Beautiful food and dog friendly. Another great place to eat is the Black Bear in Moreton in Marsh. A great place to visit to unwind and escape the stress of everyday life
