Absolutely loved our stay; the hot tub was brilliant. Lovely location, animal lovers paradise with rabbits, hedgehogs, bats, owls...and sheep of course!
The Barn was everything we wanted and we would happily visit again...
I almost don’t want to tell you how amazing this place is! We want to keep it all to ourselves! From the minute we arrived we received the warmest welcome from host Nigel - he really couldn’t have been nicer & was so helpful. The welcome scones & homemade jam were a real unexpected treat! The Barn itself is more than fully equipped to ensure that 6 people & a well behaved pooch can enjoy a peaceful retreat in understated luxury. Every element has been carefully considered to ensure you have everything you need - even down to up to date interesting magazines! There’s an abundance of board games, lovely hot tub BBQ & should you want it, a tv with all the channels. The grounds are outstanding & exceptionally maintained, with plenty of space to ensure you’re not all under each other’s feet. A perfect safe space for dogs to roam free without fear of escape. Special mention for beds, pillows & bed linen which were super comfy (a rare find in a rental!) We can’t wait to return. Please do book you will not be disappointed.
Lovely, spacious property with good size secluded garden space with hot tub and secure paddock for the dog to explore. Absolutely perfect for a family get away and a great base from which we were able explore both the east coast (Seaham) and the Lake District.
Very friendly & helpful hosts.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Barn. It was exactly as described, immaculately maintained, very comfortable and beautifully converted with such attention to detail. Our hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We are seasoned self catering holidaymakers and this was one of the best. Many thanks Nigel and Debbie.
