Typical village house, completely renovated, within the old town of Alcúdia.
After leaving the car very close by, we walk about 150 metres, through a beautiful narrow street, so typical of the village.
We arrive at the house and find that it integrates characteristic elements of the area, such as exposed stone and wide, cool walls, but it is a completely renovated, modern, current and super comfortable dwelling, as well as aesthetically very pleasant.
It has 3 double bedrooms on the first floor, two with a double bed and the other with two single beds. All with air conditioning. 2 of the bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom.
There is wifi and satellite TV.
On the ground floor we find two spacious environments, united and at the same time separated by a beautiful stone arch. Entering from the street through the main door, we cross the living room, then the dining room, and then we can access the kitchen or go out to the patio. There is also a toilet to use while life goes on on the ground floor.
The kitchen is very comfortable and beautiful. It is the gathering centre of the house. While you cook, others can sit at the island, and accompany you with good conversation, washed down with a good wine. Meanwhile, the children come and go from the patio, through the large glass door that connects both areas. It is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, and everything necessary to feel at home.
The inner courtyard is our small oasis. The swimming pool, with a salt water purification system, measures 5 x 3 metres and 1.90 metres deep. There are 4 sun loungers and a large table with chairs to eat while we enjoy the sun and good weather of Mallorca.
The location is perfect, in the historic centre of Alcúdia, its ancient walled city, you can almost imagine how life flowed here centuries ago. 5 or 10 minutes on foot, you can find countless bars, restaurants, shops, pharmacies, supermarkets, bus and taxi stops, etc. Every Tuesday and Sunday, there is a lovely market, where they sell local fruit and vegetables, which you buy directly from the farmer.
Also very close, you can walk to the "Roman City of Pollentia". These are the ruins of a Roman city dating from 123 BC. A must-visit in Alcúdia.
And of course, the wonderful beaches, the mountain trails in the Serra de Tramuntana, the nightlife, the seafront promenade in Alcúdia... all just 10 minutes by car. This is the marvel of living on this island, where everything is close by...
