The Altana is a bright, airy and centrally located 1 bedroom penthouse, found only few steps from St. Mark's Square, with panoramic roof-top terrace.
Being in a quiet residential Calle (small lane) far enough from the busy tourist itinerary nearby, it is absolutely quiet.
It measures about 100 square meters and it is composed of a luminous and very spacious loft-style living room with high ceilings and mezzanine level that leads to the roof-top terrace; a functional and well-equipped open space kitchen with 4 gas burners stove, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, kettle, etc; a bright dining area with a glass table for up to 6 people; a spacious double bedroom with a large walk-in wardrobe; a modern bathroom with large shower cabin; a small laundry room.
The Altana apartment boasts a fantastic canal view from the many windows of living room and dining room. From the living room you can walk-up the architectural staircase to access a cosy mezzanine furnished with a library, an office desk, a comfortable couch for reading and most importantly that give access to the panoramic Altana (traditional wooden roof-top terrace).
The view from here is breath-taking: the panorama includes San Giorgio Island with its remarkable Palladian Church, St. Marks Basilica and Bell Tower, Basilica Santi San Giovanni e Paolo and many other Venice landmarks. The sunny Altana is furnished with a table and 4 chairs which is perfect for a relaxing breakfast or aperitif at sunset.
The amenities of this apartment includes independent heating system, air conditioning system, Wi-Fi connection, washing machine, TV, sound system, etc.
This house is full of light during all day long and has everything you need for an unforgettable holiday. It truly makes you feel at home away from home! This apartment is perfect for a couple that wishes plenty of living space, but it can comfortably host 4 people for short stays: there is a double sofa bed in the living room.
It is not recommended for families with small kids as there are various fragile items in the apartment (glasses and antiques) and the open space staircase is not suitable for children unless they are used to such stairs (please see the photographs of the stairs in the photo gallery).
