Out of the crowd, the apartment is very bright and it overlooks the Canal Rio of Saint Alvise. The apartment has an amazing canal view on one side and a pleasant garden view on the other side.

The apartment is located in Cannaregio, an area where many Venetians still leave and work, that’s why you will find local restaurants, traditional grocery stores, butchers, bakeries, greengrocers, fish stands and much more to enjoy your stay like a local. The supermarket and the closest waterbus stop are behind the corner. If you prefer to walk instead of taking the waterbus, train station is 10 minutes walking from the apartment.

The apartment is located in the District of Cannaregio, one of the last area still lived by locals, very well connected to the airport and the mainland. This area is very characteristic and picturesque, full of canals and churches with great landscapes and sunsets to photograph and paint.



You will enjoy the quiet surroundings, local food, typical shops and all the services a residential area can offer (e.g. gym and public pool are very close). Definitely convenient the supermarket CONAD behind the corner, here you can find everything you need and it is open seven days out of seven.



The Department of Economics of Ca Foscari University and its large library are 5 minutes walking from the apartment.

Lovely apartment in quiet area

Well equiped apartment and helpful owner. Quiet area, away from crowds but plenty of nearby "locals" cafes and restaurants. Short walks to vaporetto stops.

Slightly off the beaten track away from noisy bars in residential neighbourhood. Took 25 mins to walk to San Marcos. Supermarket nearby and apartment well equipped for self catering/home brewed coffee.

Beautiful and local

Amazing apartment in the quiet part of venice. Walk to any attraction (assuming you're up for Walking) but come back to a unique local haven. The management was very accommodating when our travel was delayed a bit. Responded immediately to questions. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Thanks again for an amazing stay!

Peaceful away from crowds

Supermarket is so close which is a huge bonus. It worked for our family. It was clean, except for the walls. Close enough to walk 15 minutes, far enough to be peaceful. There are still some great restaurants right by the apartment.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment! It's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Venice and within 0.1 miles of a large grocery store. There is central A/C, but it's set on a timer, so it would get warm in the late morning when it was turned off. The beds are a little firm if you are a side sleeper, but the pillows are a good quality. Checking in was slightly complicated because you had to coordinate meeting someone there. We were having to drop off a rental car and take the train and then a water taxi to get to the apartment, so it was difficult to give them a good time. However, our check in person was flexible and helpful when we arrived. The apartment is furnished well and you have everything you need in the kitchen. The fridge is small, however, and doesn't have a freezer. (Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind when you buy groceries.) We would stay here again and thank you for hosting us!

Perfect stay at the Art Painting Canal View apartment

The apartment was in a quiet neighborhood which was away from the hustle & bustle of Venice which we loved. It was nice to venture to a quiet 'home" each evening. Our water taxi from the airport dropped us off within 5 minutes of the apartment. The apartment had plenty of space for our family of 4. One bathroom for two adults and two teenagers wasn't ideal but we managed. The place was very clean. The views of the canal are very cool right outside the bedroom windows. I highly recommend this place if looking for a quiet place a little off the beaten path.

Great residential location on island of Venice

This was the perfect location for us, it was on the island of Venice so we could walk to everything across the bridges. However it was in a quiet locals residential neighborhood so we had a getaway from the overwhelming tourist crowds near San Marco square. It was great to be in an area with some real Venetian residents, cute local restaurants, markets, etc that we never would have found otherwise. The apartment itself was clean, nice, ac worked well, kitchen was sufficient for cooking simple things. Communication with the host was very easy and they helped a lot with questions about logistics of getting to and from the apartment. Definitely recommend this place.

Nice quiet location

Very nice. It had almost all our needs. I really liked the checking in process with Veniceneighbors. Check out was tricky because you need the key to open the gate, so you won't be able to leave the keys if you are alone. There is not a freezer compartment and there is no toaster. What a disaster!

What a disaster! Our stay was in late december and the temperature in the apartment could not be raised above 19 degrees C. Very uncomfortable. In the kitchen, major equipment did not function. The connecting doors from the living room to the hall were taken away, resulting in an even colder and non-cosy atmosphere. Further: the first photo on VRBO is misleading because not taken from the apartment but the view is on another canal. Contrary to their general terms & conditions, VRBO was not available for help. In short: after one cold night we left the apartment for a hotel. We filed a complaint and the owner flatly refused a refund. As did VRBO, who claimed we should have contacted them first. But, as said, they were unreachable. Kafka! All in all, due to all the defects of this apartment, our vacation was a lot more expensive than planned, due to the extra money spent on hotel and restaurants. In short: a very disappointing experience.

Best place in Venice

We spent two weeks here and had a great time. Everything worked, it was clean, the location was perfect - 10 minutes away from all the tourists and in a part of town where locals actually spend time. We were very sad to leave. Venice is an unrealistic, impractical, and yet magical place. Living in the Cannaregio and staying in this most excellent place made our two weeks special. Andrea was great to work with as well and gave us lots of good tips!!

What a great place to stay in Venice!

Loved having a quiet place in a Venetian neighborhood in a newer building with aircon! The hosts were very gracious and helpful. We loved being able to walk everywhere as well as the water bus being close by.

Quiet canal life of Venice!

While the property was quite a walk from the centres of interest in Venice, it was lovely to come home to for the quiet & peace of this friendly Venetian neighbourhood. Being on a canal added to the joy of watch elderly gondoliers teaching the younger generations & watching families head out for lagoon adventures! Our hosts were most welcoming & helpful particularly when we couldn't figure out how the oven worked. We were comfortable & enjoyed our stay very much!!

Super gepflegtes Appartement Abseits des großen Trubels und dennoch sehr zentral

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Check-In und die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter waren ausgezeichnet. Die Wohnung ist von der Piazzale Roma zu Fuß oder mit dem Wasserbus gut erreichbar, die Wohngegend wohltuend ruhig. Restaurants und Supermarkt schnell erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Nice apartment with nice kitchen.

Andrea was very nice. The apartment is comfortable and very clean. It is a little far from San Marco if that is your main attraction. The walls are thin so you can hear the neighbors in the morning. I felt like I was living in Venice so that was a nice change from feeling like a tourist.

Wonderful quiet place close to all the sights of Venice.

Loved the place. Ground floor apartment in a quiet neighborhood. If you are looking for quiet away from everyone, but still want to be close to everything, this is the place. A fifteen to twenty minute walk takes you into the heart of things. The vaporetto is a leisurely five minute walk away, which can take you anywhere. The apartment is very comfortable! Andrea was great -- meet us at the vaporetto stop and made sure we understood everything before leaving us on our own. My wife and I are both retired and spent eight nights here. We would definitely stay here again.

Feeling like at home

Very nice apartment, has everything we needed with 3 adults and 2 kids. Great location: 10-15 minutes away from the main tourist places but in a very quiet and cozy residential area. Supermarket is 1 min away and open every day. Also you are just a few minutes away from the boat stop.
