Frustrating

Apt is cramped. We had a leaking toilet all 4 nights we were there. Had to use towels to mop the bathroom floor several times a day. Host was informed day 1 of the problem. Said he would address it and bring more towels. Neither happened. Only excuses. Silverware, pans etc. are cheap and basically tossed into a couple of drawers. Bed comfortable and location prime, though very noisy well into the night. Impossible to sleep. Not recommended.

Great stay

Apartment is in a great part of town - busy neighborhood but honestly you couldn’t hear anything from the rooms. Clean, everything matched the listing description, and host made communication easy. The glass divider on the shower is a little short which does make the bathroom floor wet (and the toilet was leaking at the end of our stay, so it was a bit damp in there) but honestly great overall. If you’re there during a warmer time of year, the big win is the AC unit works great!

Great location but with caveats

Property is a few steps below street level. It is an incredibly touristy street (which can be a plus or a minus - it is a convenient location for walking but not a street cars -ie. taxis- can drive down. and very noisy until late at night so if you are sensitive to that I suggest ear plugs.) When we arrived it had not been cleaned. They apologized and took care of it. The space is small, especially if you are using the second bed, which is essentially a Murphy bed. There are no lounge-y chairs or sofa. The best thing was the A/C, which worked flawlessly - a big bonus since it was nearly 100 degrees F every day! There was also a mild (fortunately) mildew smell, which you smell when you first enter but is mild enough that you get used to it. There may be a leak somewhere. Beds were comfortable. Shower worked well though the glass barrier doesn’t extend very far so it’s difficult not to get the bathroom floor wet. Overall the place served our needs but felt overpriced.

Trastavere

The apartment was exactly as advertised. Perfect for two people. The location was fabulous! Tremendous restaurants, cafés, and sightseeing, right outside the door. Wonderful spot!
