Very nice place to stay at Lake Almanor. Very clean and the kitchen is well stock with all you need besides food.
Short walk to the water and Docks. Great place to Paddle Board.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin is clean and decorated very cute! The grounds are relaxing and pretty. Loved that it’s on the water. We would definitely stay there again. Alanna was very good getting back to me with any questions I had before and during our stay.
Very clean and nicely updated on a quaint little cove. I was on crutches but could still make it down to the water. Pretty surroundings. Check in was super easy. We really enjoyed our stay!
The cabin is perfect for those who want a comfortable place to sleep, but plan to spend the days in the beautiful outdoors. The host is attentive to questions and keeps the instructions on the rental simple. Definitely will go back!
Nice & clean, first time in the cove and enjoyed these views of lake & forest. The morning colors in the forest and sky were amazing.
One comment .. we like to cook in and while kitchen was nicely supplied, we didn’t need 2 potato mashers and could have used some big serving/mixing bowls and more cookin utensils..spatula, colander,. Loved the very efficient funky oven/stove!
Car and all property covered in layers of dirt and sprayed with water as lawn repleaced during stay. 1 pan and 1 pot to cook with and limited silverware. I own rentals and properties and build homes. Boat, they were full, good thing i have my own,but if a visitor didnt!
The cabin was perfect for me and my husband. Nice kitchen with everything we needed. The bathroom fixtures were newer and very clean with a nice shower. Bedroom was small but had a very comfortable bed, a closet and dresser. Very close to the lake with a dock and really nice seating area down by the water. The only problem we had was that the internet was unpredictable is you were trying to stream a movie; work well sometimes but others times would cut in and out. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the beautiful area.
The room was nice and clean extremely small wish there was a TV in the bedroom absolutely no Wi-Fi even though there was listing of a possibility could not communicate water in the lake not their fault was extremely low access to any beach was not available restaurants in the area are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays the west side of the lake would have been more desirable. Not somewhere I would stay again bed was not comfortable price was not Consummate to what the value was.
We have a family reunion with my brothers/sisters (6) families. I had to change my place I staying, and my sister found this. It’s very quaint and quite. If you like cooking make sure you bring cooking utensils. I understand that Justine bought this place and it’s a work in progress. Please everyone that uses VRBO please take all your food products home with you. This has to be the one place that had a empty refrigerator, however there was items left in the cabinet.
I do totally relaxed while I was there. There is a nice quite reading area close to the docks.
This is my first time renting there. The place was very clean , quiet. My daughter and I and my french bulldog stayed there. I enjoyed staying there. It was very close to stores. The only thing that was a little hard. You have neighbors right next you. We were gone most of the day at a friends house so we were only there to sleep. Its a great place.
We stayed at cabin number 2 and it was comfortable, cozy, and clean. Well stocked with the kitchen essentials. Property has a some kayaks for use which was nice way to be on a slice of the lake. There are some restaurants and market close by and Chester is a 10 minute drive. Nice location. Would stay here again.
We really loved the property but unfortunately we didn’t even stay one night. The Dixie Fire was causing so much smoke and ash there was no way we could even be outdoors plus evacuation warnings were issued so we didn’t feel safe. Hopefully we can return - praying the Fire spares this area.

Hide and seek! Tough to check in when arriving . You will find the key in the door. No WiFi .
This was a nice clean relaxing place to stay . It happen to be warmer then usual . There’s no air conditioning or WiFi .
The cell service is spotty .
Unit was nicer than expected. Older but updated and clean. Could have used a couple more towels and directions for using the TV. Check in/out was a breeze. Great location. Steep walk down the hill to the lake, but the property was nicely terraced with lawns, a seating area for viewing the lake, and a sand area for kids to play.
This is definitely a little slice of Lake Almanor Heaven. Loved the location. Linens and bed was dreamy. The unit and outdoor landscaping were immaculately cared for and so serene. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. So nice & welcoming. It was just an all around pleasant stay. I highly recommend!!
Nice and clean cabin. With many trees surrounding the cabin I liked that the temperature stayed cool during the day and especially at night. Also, great proximity to the peninsula market. I would certainly stay here again. Check-in / check-out process was seamless.
It aint much, but that is what makes it great. Very simple one bed, one bath. It had all we needed. Quiet location within walking distance to the market and restaurants and great lake access. It's small, but it works well for a couple.
