Perfect location to get away from big city and close enough to good eating and entertainment. Property and surroundings are beautiful and the cabin is perfect for a great get-away!
The cabin was as advertised. The decks were great to hang out on. They hadn’t had a lot of rain when we went, so the pond was down, but that didn’t stop us from catching a small fish. We loved the gameroom!! Broken Bow is about 25-30 minutes for the restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay here again!! Excellent for family time. Make sure you drive in during the daylight the fist time and follow the host’s directions.
We booked this with my family to stay for Christmas. It easily slept all 11 of us. It was so cozy. The views were breathtaking. Definitely worth the price.
Game room was awesome from the 1 year old all the way to the 55 year old. Pretty good drive off the main road, but road was well maintained. We had a blasted. Everything was nice and accommodated us very well. Thank you for the stay!
We decided to spend a 3 day weekend together with family as opposed to swapping gifts for Christmas and it was absolutely worth it! Lazy J was clean and well taken care of, all the amenities meant we never had to leave. It was a great getaway from the big city, and we look forward to coming back.
We stayed at the Lazy J for a weekend getaway. The cabin was wonderful & the environment was peaceful! The kids loved the game room, hot tub, and pond. We brought our dog & there was plenty of space for him to run around. The other reviews are correct about the roads being rocky to get to the cabin but we had no issues with our AWD SUV on the road, even with a day of rainy weather. It was very enjoyable with plenty to do. We will definitely look toward returning for another future weekend getaway!

Worth every penny
Met at the cabin with siblings and their spouses and couldn't have asked for anything better. The cabin itself is beautiful and superbly furnished. Beds are very comfortable. In fact I haven't slept that well in a long time. The sounds of nature and the stars are amazing when you're away from civilization. It was hard to leave when the time came.
We spent a wonderful 7 days. We had sunny days with clear nights for stargazing. A rainy day we sat out on the porch and watched the rain fall on the huge beautiful clean pond. When the storm rolled in we enjoyed the fantastic game room. Clear nights we built a fire and enjoyed the evening. My biggest surprise, the silence. No cars, no airplanes, no city noises. We loved it!
Pictures of the property were very accurate. We had a wonderful family time. It was colder than anticipated but the addition of a small space heater (purchased at the smallest Walmart I have ever seen!) in the lower front bedroom and the constant use of the fireplace took care of that. We went fishing, hiking, played in the game room, sat around the firepit, and spent time in the hot tub. The older kids learned how to cook on a gas stovetop. We had internet access and cable TV. The drive in/out was kind of rough but all three vehicles managed it. My only suggestions are 1) put knobs or handles on all the cabinet drawers and doors and 2) provide towel bars or hooks in the bathrooms.
This property was beautiful!! We truly enjoyed our stay. The kids went on a little hike and played an endless amount of games in the game room. We love staying at different cabins in broken bow but this was the most secluded one we have ever stayed at! The pond was also so pretty and the water was super clear.
The only recommendations I have are:
1. Better steak knifes. The ones there are pretty worn out so we ended up using our pocket knifes lolll
2. Maybe some space heaters in the downstairs bedrooms. It got super hot upstairs however the downstairs bedrooms were freezing!!!
3. Also, I highly recommend tvs in the bedrooms. There were times when all of us just wanted to pile up and watch movies in bed but unfortunately none of the bedrooms had tvs.
4. The game room speaker sounds like the speaker is busted or something. Doesn’t sound to great.
5. The ping pong paddles are extremely messed up. Torn up pretty bad. We couldn’t really use those.
6. The air hockey table is also messed up.
HOWEVER, none of these things listed made us dislike our stay. WE LOVED IT! Those are just my recommendations for the owners. Hope this helps!!

Wonderful, Secluded Cabin
My husband and I along with our 3 children (ages 5, 3, & 1) spent 3 nights here in July along with 2 other couples who also each have a 1 yr old. We LOVED this place. The cabin is so clean and neatly decorated. The furniture is very comfy, the kitchen is well-stocked, and we enjoyed some great meals around the huge dining table. We spent so much time on the large back porch. My children loved fishing in the pond. The owners were wonderful to communicate with us letting us know that the pond was low due to lack of rain, but we still enjoyed it very much and caught (and released) lots of fish. They also provided excellent directions to the cabin as navigation systems aren't able to locate it. The cabin is not too far from the beautiful lake, maybe 30 minutes. We rented a boat from Beavers Bend Marina one morning. They were great! We also enjoyed the fire pit, horseshoes, and counting bunnies (there are lots!).
We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, secluded place to stay. Our group did notice a few things that might make the stay even better...there are no towel racks or hooks for towels. We all agreed that would be helpful. Also, bowls with lids for storage of leftovers would be helpful. It might also be helpful for future guests to know that the washer/dryer is located in a bedroom. We packed very lightly, but had trouble finding a good time to wash since we were traveling with babies who napped unpredictably and felt like we were invading our friends' space a little bit. That doesn't change how great this place is. It's just good to know.
You won't regret staying here!
The house and decor were so cozy and welcoming. The property was secluded and beautiful, and as others have said before, the road getting to the cabin was very rough in some places. We were glad we had 4WD at the steep entrance. We would definitely stay here again, but want to also mention a couple of things that keeps me from giving it 5 overall stars. The kitchen was well stocked and clean, so no concerns there. Bathrooms were clean and water pressure was good. Down stairs shower worked but there was something really off with the hot and cold water faucets… Furniture was nice and beds were comfortable. The furnace heated the upstairs better than down, we had to set the thermostat at 65-67 to keep the folks downstairs from freezing, but the upstairs temp was almost unbearably hot. There was probably a 15 degree difference between the upstairs and downstairs.
Fireplace worked good, very cozy. We used it every day.
The bedside light upstairs cannot be turned on or off without plugging in and out if socket. Kind of a pain…
Light bulbs throughout don’t match…down stairs towels smelled like mildew…like maybe they sat too long in the washer before being put in dryer.
Hot tub: half the jets did not work, and it was very foamy before we used it…I don’t really know anything about hot tubs so don’t know if that’s normal.
The devil’s in the details really, but not necessarily deal breakers.
Pond was awesome and beautiful, views from windows in all rooms were picture perfect, game room made for hours of fun, so overall this cabin is worth visiting.
Cabin setting is beautiful, I’m sure when there isn’t a drought it is even better. There are a couple of maintenance issues as with most older cabin rentals. We didn’t use dishwasher due to the front missing screws and barely hanging on. Bathroom and showers were nice. Kitchen was great with a large stove/oven. My hubby fixed the ice machine. Room with Queen bed is extremely tiny. Game room was amazing just missing a bathroom. Got a horrible rash from hot tub.
The stay was great! However, the road to the house is horrible. The pond was very low, the dish washer front was loose, and the buttons were hard to reach.
Our summertime vacation at Lazy J was an experience for us all. Being out in the back woods was fun. There were bugs and creepy crawlers but, that's expected. We will definitely return.
The Property was a nice place to unwind. The amenities was unbeatable but could be better if only Nature would cooperate. The little Lake was very low ,but nonetheless the surroundings more than made up for it. The place was beautiful but is beginning to show some differed maintenance. The air hockey was troublesome, the upstairs toilet needs some attention due to the malfunctioning water valve in the tank and the place could use some sprucing up especially the dock and some broken furniture items.Nonetheless we all had a terrific time and was never wanting to leave the facility. Highly recommended!!!
