About this property

3 bedroom apartment in Tuscan countryside house with private pool

The house is a classical Tuscan farmhouse dating from the early 19th century. We live on the ground floor and we have dedicated the 1st floor to our guests, with this comfortable and finely furnished apartment.
Measuring about 130 m2 (1400 ft2) it counts 3 spacious bedrooms.
The first one with two single beds that can be put together to create a double bed and a day bed From this bedroom you can access a large furnished terrace overlooking the surrounding park and pool.

The second one with two single beds that can be put together to create a double bed and a day bed.

The third one with a queen size bed.

From the first bedroom you access a living room area, a kitchen corner and a bathroom with walk-in shower.

The second and third bedroom have a common landing area from which they can access the bathroom with walk-in shower.

And lastly there is a fully equipped kitchen with dining table.

Perfect for 3 couples travelling together, big families and groups of more than 5 friends.

Guests will have exclusive use of
- the entire floor
- the park
- the swimming pool with mini-fridge (to keep your beverages cool at all times and enjoy aperitifs by the pool), sunbeds, umbrellas and table with chairs
- the patio with gazebo located in front of the house (down the stairs) and the barbecue

Guests are more than welcome to bring their dog, we have two dogs who get along with anyone! The park is entirely fenced.

ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA
- Our neighboor has a ranch, so we can arrange for horseback riding (either lesson or trekking in the area).
- In Reggello there is a shop where you can rent electric mountain bikes, which are perfect for the type of landscape that we have here.
- The area counts many trekking paths, either walking directly from the house, or taking the car a bit further and exploring the many hills, mountains and water streams.

TO VISIT IN THE AREA
- We are 45 minutes away from Florence, Arezzo and the heart of the Chianti (Greve, Radda, Panzano, Monteriggioni...)
- An hour and 15 minutes away from Siena, San Gimignano, Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico d'Orcia and the Trasimeno lake.
- We are on the lower slopes of the Pratomagno mountains, with its highest peak at 1600 m.
- Nearby you will find the beautiful Romanesque church of Cascia, the Sammezzano castle, the "balze del Valdarno", the Natural Reserve of Vallombrosa and its abbey.
- And for shopping lovers you will be able to reach the fashion outlet the Mall within a 20 minute drive.

Quiet, relaxing place to stay

Pleasant apartment with private swimming pool, hosted by very friendly and professional owners. We booked using the Dutch VRBO site, where it was listed as villa, so not mentioning the fact that it is actually an apartment with the owners living on the ground floor, with 2 dogs. This was certainly not an issue in practice, but from the text we did expect differently.

siamo state in 8 ragazze a festeggiare l addio al nubilato da Violeta e ci siamo trovate strabene!! abbiamo deciso anche di annullare il programma che avevamo impostato x la domenica mattina per rimanere nella splendida piscina, fare colazione a bordo piscina, prendere il sole e rilassarci da loro! comoda posizione vicina a firenze, strada sterrata x arrivarci ma fattibilissima! i ragazzi sono gentilissimi e disponibili per qualsiasi cosa! casa attrezzata anche con prodotti anti zanzare e dotata di zanzariere in tutte le finestre! due cucine attrezzate e bagni stupendi...consigliato per qualche giorno di relax

Hi there! We are Violeta and Emiliano.
We met in Tuscany more than a decade ago, in those beautiful hills, so beautiful that we didn't go back to our native capitals (Emiliano is from Rome and Violeta from Paris)!
We realised our biggest dream, to buy a secluded "colonica" (typical Tuscan farmhouse) and establish a homestead in which to put into practice the sustainable lifestyle that we are aspiring to. For the moment the only animals here are our two funny dogs, but we will also implement chickens and horses in the future. We want to create a serene place in which to appreciate nature and all it has to offer, and share this experience with our guests.
Emiliano is a cook, and Violeta has a background in hospitality, having worked in many exclusive hotels and resorts. We also had a gourmet shop in Florence, which we sold to be able to dedicate ourselves to this beautiful project.

Podere Piagge is both completely secluded and well connected to main services like shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. It is well situated in Tuscany to be able to visit the main cities and areas like Florence, Siena, Arezzo and the Chianti.
You will have all the privacy you need, with the advantage to have local hosts easily reachable for any advice or question you may have or need.

What makes this property unique

Podere Piagge is located near Reggello, officially nominated the "olive oil town". It is completely immersed in the countryside, in a scenery of both classical Tuscan views like olive tree fields and vineyards, and surprising and wilder landscapes like woods and cliffs.
The park surrounding the house counts many olive trees and a beautiful 10x6 m (32x20 ft) swimming pool you can enjoy from the end of May to late September.
The overall surroundings are simply an invitation to relax!
