About this property
Entire Cottage in Picturesque Village
The Old Reading Rooms - A unique, spacious, comfortable, detached 2 bedroomed cottage (sleeps 5) in a wonderful village with easy access to an array of fantastic and fascinating destinations including a host of historical and cultural hot spots! Surrounded by beautiful countryside you will love to explore!
Great cafe's, pubs, restaurants, an artisan bakery, an organic veg shop, small art galleries, florist, beauty salons, hairdressers, CO-OP all within easy walking distance.
The Old Reading Rooms - A Grade II listed property dating back to the 1500s. For some time it was used by the Linton Literary Society for young men of the village to meet, read papers and play billiards (the old cue housing can be seen in the lounge). Prior to that, it was The Old Coffee House.
Lovingly renovated using breathable wool insulation, acoustic fibreboard to insulate the old lathes and plaster, acoustic secondary glazing alongside the old sliding windows to ensure warmth and full sound insulation - to ensure up to date heat retention and leaving residents feeling completed cocooned from the world outside.

About the host
Hosted by Louise Orton
I live in Linton with my husband and three sons. I moved here when my eldest was 4 months knowing nothing about the village or the location. It is such a friendly place with easy access to Cambridge and there is always lots going on!
I am always discovering things about Linton I didn't know!

My husband lovingly renovated The Old Reading Rooms working with the listed buildings officer and building control officer. With wool insulation, acoustic secondary glazing, reed ceilings coated with lime plaster we really feel it is something special! We hope you love it!
