Puddingstone Cottage is a charming cottage tucked away in the heart of the peaceful village of Gartmore, minutes drive away from Aberfoyle and one minute walk to the famous Black Bull community owned pub. The Black Bull was featured in the popular TV programme, ’Tom Kerridge’s Pub Rescue’. This lovely cottage is surrounded by a cottage style garden to the front and the rear and is located within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Hugely popular with cyclists and walkers alike. The garden has a fantastic shed to store bikes for those serious cyclists.

The cottage is best accessed from the rear of the property found along a little path next to the village hall and through the back garden. On entering the cottage you will be welcomed by its charm and cosy comfortable furnishings. There is a lovely bright kingsize bedroom to the left with a modern shower room next to it. As you turn right into the cottage step up into a dining area and a bright fully equipped kitchen, compact but lovely. From here you have a spacious living room where you can sit and enjoy the far reaching views across the Forth Valley where on a clear day you can see the Wallace Monument in Stirling, almost 25 miles away. After a day of exploring, relax whilst watching Freeview on the large flat screen TV or the great selection of DVDs on offer. There is also a good selection of books in case you forget to bring your own. The same views can be seen from the master bedroom which has a comfy double bed and an en-suite. This truly is a lovely place to come and stay surrounded by stunning countryside and walks right on your doorstep. Maybe bring some painting and paint the cows in the field outside the front of the property. Aberfoyle is a popular tourist village with an attractive main street and with just the right amount of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. This area is full of natural beauty and history, a visit to the Trossachs Discovery Centre and The Scottish Wool Centre is a must.

A lovely little spot

Stayed for a week. Location was ideal with astunning view from the living room and walks on your doorstep. The pub in the village is really close and offers lovely food and great service. Cannot fault the cottage at all and the owner Anne incredibly helpful and clearly cares and looks after this property very well.
