About this property
Bar 7 Ranch House - perfect for OHV travelers!
The Bar 7 Bed, Bath and Barn is a historic log home on a working cattle ranch located five miles outside of the small mountain town of Meeker, Colorado. Family owned and operated since 1895, the Bar 7 Ranch is able to provide modern, nicely appointed lodging for up to 17 people. Children must be supervised by an adult at ALL TIMES. The grounds are well-maintained and offer the perfect setting for your Colorado vacation, retreat or wedding (full service wedding accommodations including reception hall, tables and chairs and a number of decorations and draping available - please see our website at Bar7bedbathandbarn for more information). We have ample parking for your OHV trailers and are located on an OHV friendly road - allowing you to leave directly from our property!
The Ranch House offers a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill, two full bathrooms, a snack bar and dining room with gas log fireplace, living room with satellite television and five bedrooms — including 7 double beds, one single bed and one set of bunk beds. The Ranch House comes stocked with linens and towels. On site laundry facilities are also available for our guests’ use.
Surrounded by numerous mature trees, manicured grounds, a large fire pit and called home by a vast variety and number of indigenous birds, guests can’t help but enjoy the expansive lawn areas at the Ranch House. Whether you see our yearly-returning family of foxes, the overly domesticated deer that hang out in the yard, or the herd of trophy-sized bucks grazing in the hay meadows (we call them “the boys”), we are certain that the Bar 7 Ranch is sure to become one of your favorite, return destinations.
The Bar 7 also offers access to the Bar 7 Bath House which houses two additional showers, toilets and sinks. Corrals/barn and hay also available.
About Meeker: For those seeking easy access to hiking, OHV trails, camping, hunting, fishing, backpacking, horseback riding, snowmobiling and other outdoor recreation (don't miss the weekly Meeker Rodeo at the Fairgrounds!), Meeker is a sure thing. Should you visit in the winter months, you can enjoy world renowned snowmobiling just up the road. So whether you're looking to get out of the city or a trip full of out-door adventures, the Bar 7 Ranch is the perfect place for you!
Fishing and hunting are also big businesses here. Anglers can take advantage of several public access fishing areas within a couple miles of town, and public lands outside of town offer a variety of fishable waters. A dramatically scenic drive is the Flat Tops Trail Scenic Byway; the 82-mile drive starts in Meeker and offers lots of picturesque pull-offs along the journey to Yampa.
Meeker is host to a roster of annual festivals, including the Meeker Palooza Arts & Music Festival (June), the Range Call Fourth of July celebration, White River OHV Rendezvous (July) and the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials (September).
For a peek into the history of the area, visit The White River Museum, which is housed in the 1880s U.S. Calvary Garrison's officer's quarters. See photos of early settlers and the stories and artifacts they left behind, including clothing and jewelry, uniforms from every branch of the service worn by Meeker men, moccasins made by a Ute Indian woman, an original hand printing press used by The Meeker Herald and much more.
