Set on 155 acres of farmland, placing you in a completely tranquil setting to relax, unwind and enjoy your surroundings.
Meg’s Rest has been newly converted with original beams restored and high-quality fittings, stone flooring throughout along with underfloor heating making this space lovely on those colder days. When you enter the rural romantic retreat, you’ll find a beautiful interior, with pieces handmade from natural wood. There’s a luxury pine kingsize bed, for a cosy night’s sleep, with Smart TV. Next door is a gorgeous modern bathroom with double shower. Across from the bedroom you’ll see the restored oak table which makes a lovely setting for a romantic meal for two in the very well-equipped kitchen. One stand-out feature is its own wood-fired hot tub, which is exclusively yours for the time of your stay. Making it the perfect setting for a laid-back afternoon, or a romantic evening under the stars. This wonderful property is decorated for Christmas and New Year and the owners will supply a hamper. You are on a farm; the owners are very happy to show you around the farm should you want to meet the animals. Or perhaps you would like to explore more of the area.
From Meg’s Nest, you can take a stroll along the Bechan Brook close by, or a couple of miles down the road is Dolforwyn Castle, Built by Welsh lord Llywelyn ap Gruffydd in 1273 on the hill above the Severn Valley, well worth a visit. Once you are ready to head out and explore, the coast is only an hour away in the car. You are ideally located to visit Powis Castle, for the day. Or why not try something different and visit one of the three wineries in the area. There’s Kerry Vale Vineyard offering visitor packages, a café and a shop. Montgomery and Penarth wineries too. Then there’s bird watching with many nature reserves close by, horse-riding and mountain-biking if you are more into the outdoors.
