Very clean, quick walk to river access, with public beach access a couple minutes down the road. The house was one of the most well stocked places I've stayed in(we cook most of our meals, so this was a huge plus)

Enjoyed reading the history of The Saufley House. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to rebook. Loved the location and the wrap around porch. Walked out on the back porch on our last day and there was a bald eagle perched on a tree limb. Can never get enough of our nations bird. We absolutely love this vacation spot! This is our #1 place to go when we go to the beach! Perfect walk to fish and play in sand and soak up all the sun! Clean everytime and such good hostess! Price is absolutely incredible for the place you get! Perfect for children and not too crowded like public beach! 10/10 every time!

I find it difficult to say anything negative about this beach house, with its interesting history and unique charm. I’ve never visited a vacation property that was so well stocked and cared for with such love in every detail. I loved the ‘old fashioned feel’ that surrounds it. The wrap around porch, where one can watch the boats traveling back and forth down the Intracoastal waters. The rustic boardwalk that leads to the beach area has been well maintained and just adds to the feeling of another time. One morning, a mother doe and three fawns crossed through the backyard, over the boardwalk and into the natural landscape that runs alongside the sandy terrain. I found this place quite mystical in so many ways. It’s a mixture of the old and the new, as it sits quietly with all its hidden memories and treasures only a stones throw from all the conveniences of the modern world. If you’re looking for a beach resort, this is not the place for you. This is old beach vibe, with its sand and burrs, and a few noises in the attic from animals that may have nested there. It’s cool breezes off the water, with faint echoes of laughter coming over the airways. It’s home away from home.

Really nice VRBO. One of the most well stocked linen and supplies VRBO we have stayed at. Very clean, very comfortable. Really convenient to gulf beach's, less than a few minutes. Plenty of fish to catch in the intercostal.

Excellent home and location. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the Saufley house as it feels like a home away from home. They have placed a great bit of thought into helping guests feel like they are welcome: plenty of cookware, dishes and extras to enoy.
