Taken over and brought into the 21st Century by the Cornforth family, who's roots are nearby, they have made every effort to retain the character of the building, even adding a wood burning stove to the living room in the original fireplace for that homely yet old fashioned feel. The Cornforth's have a long family history in fishing, so it seemed suitable to create a holiday space that is still so in touch with it!
You can even see on the front of the building, a small planter had been custom made in replica of the fishing and potting boat the cottage is named after, built in the 70's and used daily by a very beloved and missed member of the family, the replica stands in his memory.
The family have painstakingly designed and chosen every detail you see in the cottage, even down to the ship's steering wheel in the living room! A lot of love and care has gone into the design and renovation of this place to create a relaxing feeling of home away from home in this humble cottage, and we hope you love it as much as we do!
