About this property
The Lodge - Luxury house w/parking sleeps 10 in Dartmouth
Fantastically located in central Dartmouth a couple of minutes walk from the town and waterfront, The Lodge is an impeccably decorated, deceptively large home that sleeps 10 providing a wonderful destination for large families and groups of friends.
The property boasts Vispring and Sommus beds, high thread count linens, luxury bath robes, and Molton Brown toiletries throughout.
We encourage you to view the floorplan in the photos to gather a sense of the scale of this property.
Step through the front door into a spacious entrance hall, off which you will find a storage cupboard for coats and shoes, a WC, an open plan living/kitchen/ dining area, and three of five bedrooms.
Each bedroom has been individually decorated with feature walls and their own colour palette. While one has a Parisian inspired feature wall, another invites you to sleep in opulent splendour, complete with black glass wardrobe and a bed swathed in a rich quilt.
The first bedroom backs onto the kitchen and has a single bed with a second pull out single as well as ample storage and an en suite shower room.
The second bedroom is off the hallway and has a bunk bed as well as an en suite shower room and toilet.
The spacious Master bedroom completes this floor with a Superking bed, masses of storage and an en suite shower room and toilet.
The living/kitchen/ dining area offers mid century style with a contemporary twist, complete with wooden floors, a table seating ten, and every modern convenience you could ask for. Blinds maintain privacy throughout the property, whilst still letting in lots of natural light and creating a sense of peace and tranquillity throughout. Double doors at one end of the space lead to a pretty courtyard complete with a small table for drinks or alfresco dining.
Glass balustrades lead you to the upstairs living space, which is stylish and restful, complete with a large flatscreen TV, multiple sofas and seating areas alongside a separate Bar area with mini fridge. Skylights let in the sun by day, and in the evening it feels cosy and welcoming.
Head outside and the lower ground floor is accessed externally and features a utility space with washer and internal access to the garage.
The Lodge is perfectly located for exploring the pretty town, but manages to offer superb privacy thanks to the configuration of the property. It also has two parking spaces – one in the driveway and one in the garage, which is a valuable commodity in Dartmouth.
Recommended for: This stylish property is ideal for groups of friends, a family or two families holidaying together.
Favourite feature: The design of The Lodge is really special, carefully considered to create a sense of style whilst also being welcoming.
Need to know:
Note for bedroom backing onto Kitchen:
When second single bed is in use it may block the access to the en suite shower room.
The property comes with two parking spaces, which is a valuable feature in Dartmouth where it can be tricky to park!
***Garage size***
The garage will fit a car up to 180cm high and approx 400 cm Long. For example a BMW X5 will not fit in due to length but a VW golf can just fit length wats. We provide details of alternative parking with our arrival details should you need them.
About a holiday in Dartmouth
On the mouth of the River Dart, Dartmouth’s history dates to 1086 and weaves across the centuries as a port down brimming with intrigue. From piracy to smuggling and literary inspiration, it even warranted a mention in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. Today Dartmouth is famous for its annual Royal Regatta, naval college, colourful harbour, and culinary delights. From buzzing pubs under Tudor beams to fishing, sailing, and adventuring to the historic castle and pretty local beaches - Dartmouth is a fantastic base for a holiday in South Devon.
