Parade Watch – central 1 bedroom apartment

Summary:
Welcome to Parade Watch! A comfortable, central stay for 2 people, just a 15 minute walk from a world-famous sites like The Roman Baths, The Royal Crescent and The Circus – as well as the ultra-relaxing Thermae Spa, The Rec (home of Bath Rugby!) and a whole host of shops and restaurants.

Due to the central location, there is no parking at the property.

The Space:
Parade Watch is an affordable option for those wanting to enjoy all that Bath has to offer without compromising on location. This lower-ground apartment is self-contained, really central whilst still being quiet and practical. There's everything you need for a break away, including a full kitchen, washer and dryer, living room with smart TV and dining table, double bed with linen and towels, plus a shower room.

LIVING SPACE
Feature fireplace, comfy sofa and chairs, coffee table, Smart TV and dining table. With views out onto Walcot Parade and the countryside beyond.

BEDROOM
There's a comfy double bed, complete with crisp white linen and plenty of storage for your belongings.

SHOWER ROOM
The shower room has a toilet, basin and shower. Towels are included.

OUTSIDE COURTYARD/BOILER ROOM
Outside the kitchen is a small courtyard with a boiler room that houses the tumble dryer.

Guest Access:
During your stay you will have the entire place to yourselves but our Superhost, Chris is only a phone call away if you need anything at all!

The Neighborhood:
Walcot Parade is about a 2 minute walk from Walcot Street – often described as the trendy artisan quarter of Bath! There are boutique shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk of the apartment and the city centre's main attractions are just a 15 minute walk away.

Getting Around:
The property is a 15-20 minute walk from the train and bus station, or a 10-15 minute taxi journey.

Please note there is no parking at the property due to its central location, we would recommend Charlotte Street Car Park.

Other Things to Note:
The apartment is on the lower ground floor, so there are stairs down to the front door.

Bath is just steps away

Apartment is good for a couple who likes walking. Almost all of Bath is within walking distance including some good restaurants near by. Be aware the steps down to the basement apartment can be a bit tricky especially after dark.

We stayed here during the first week in May. In looking at the pictures of the location I was a little dubious about the location but the price was unbeatable so we booked. What a surprise! It was actually bigger inside than I had thought. Really loved the way it was set up. No cramped feeling. Safe neighborhood. We walked everywhere we went. The maps of Bath look spread out but everything is actually in walking distance. The host was very attentive with timely answers to our questions. Everything we needed was already there. Loved the washer and dryer. All the photos are accurate. Would totally stay there again.

The apartment location was great and the set up was nice. However, we were sorely disappointed in the smell of the apartment. It was damp and smelled like mildew. There were spider webs hanging from the ceiling and quite a few spiders in the apartment. It could have used a dusting before we got there. There were also rules about not wearing shoes in the apartment which was fine, but the carpet was stained and possibly not cleaned in a few years. Overall the stay was not great. We didn't sleep well because the sheets felt damp and the one dehumidifier present was in the bedroom and it was extremely loud; turned on and off continuously throughout the night, so we had to shut if off while we slept.

Nice little flat, well located. Should have been a wonderful stay but the hot water service broke down on the 2nd day of a 4 day stay. The manager was tardy in responding to us about the problem and did not acknowledge the inconvenience of no hot water for one day and then no water at all the following day. Only offerred a refund if we moved but expected that we would be there to let the plumbers in 8.00 am. It would have been more inconvenient for us to move. A measure of the quality of service is how problems are resolved so the customer is not inconvenienced. Nothing to recommend about this.

They loved the cosy feel of the apartment and the size and location of the property suited them perfectly. Walking distance from trendy cafes, boutiques and bars, it has been a much-loved bolthole in Bath for the family, just a stone’s throw from all the major attractions. They live outside of the city but welcome visitors to their cherished home to share in Bath’s delights. We hope that you will enjoy the apartment and Bath as much as we do!
