About this property

147 By The Sea - Opposite the Beach with Stunning Sea Views + Parking

147 By The Sea is a recently renovated 2 Bed first floor flat with incredible sea views & off street parking. This stylish, modern and creatively designed apartment offers holiday letting accommodation for up to 4 guests.

The property has been finished to a very high standard throughout - providing luxury & comfort in rooms that are large & bright with high ceilings & stunning sea views. It is ideally located opposite Worthing beach & close to the town centre.

147 By The Sea is situated directly opposite Worthing seafront and just a few minutes walk from Worthing’s Award Winning Art Deco Pier. There is free off street parking for one car available for the duration our guests stay.

147 By The Sea is a duplex apartment occupying the first and second floors of a large and imposing Victorian corner property. It enjoys incredible, uninterrupted sea views from every room as well as from the 2 balconies that are situated on the front and east side of the building.
147 By The Sea is accessed via 4 external steps then after entering the apartment there is a flight of stairs taking you to the first floor. On this level there is a large bedroom with full ensuite bathroom (including a bath) a hallway leading to the the lounge, the kitchen dining room and access to the second staircase that takes you to the stunning loft conversion room.

Please note that the 2 good sized bedrooms are situated on different floors - one bedroom is on the first floor at the rear of the property whilst the other bedroom is up a flight of stairs in a wonderful loft conversion. We want guests to be aware of the sleeping arrangements as although this is the perfect set up for some guests it may not be ideal for guests with young children which is why we have suggested that the property might be best suited to slightly older children aged 10 / 12 yrs and over.

The bedroom on the first floor is a lovely light and bright bedroom with an ensuite bathroom that has a large walk in shower, a double vanity and a full size bath. This bedroom is made up with 2 single beds.

This room has a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, 2 bedside tables, a dressing table and a wall mounted TV. The beds have superb, high quality mattresses, lovely bed linen and feather pillows (these can be changed for non feather pillows on request. This room has a wonderful bay window with full length voiles that provide privacy but still allow light in to the room. In addition there are full length blackout curtains and the other window in this room has a roman blind.

Along the hallway is a large comfortable living room with 2 good sized sofas and a 43inch wall mounted Smart TV. The room has wonderful high ceilings and a large bay window once again showing off the stunning sea views. There is a media unit that runs the length of this room that has cupboards containing board games and books. Above the cupboards are shelves showcasing a number of objects that are for display only and as such, we politely ask that guests don’t touch or move these items. The living room also has cosy throws and cushions, a coffee table, a sideboard and side table and an electric fireplace.

Next door to the living room is a well equipped and spacious kitchen dining room. This incredibly light and bright room has amazing sea views from the bay window and from the 2 sets of French doors that lead out onto the 2 balconies. We ask you to always take care when using the balconies - guests are welcome to use the balconies during their stay, but do so at their own risk. 147 By The Sea is located a short distance from the Town Centre (Worthing Town Centre is a 8 - 10 minute stroll away). You can take the scenic route in to town by crossing the road in-front of the apartment (the Brighton Road) and walking along the coastal path next to the sea. On the way into town you will pass a fabulous cafe called “Coast” - it’s well worth stopping for a coffee, drinks or snacks as well as breakfast or lunch. They also serve food and drinks in the evenings - they have weekly salsa classes and often have live music. You can sit inside the cafe but most people choose to sit outdoors on the tables that are set up on the pebble beach. Next to Coast cafe you can spend time browsing the lovely Artist’s Studios that sell artwork, jewellery, accessories, interesting and quirky pieces and unique hand made items. Other things to Stop & See on your way in to town (West to East, towards Town):
Splash Point Area: Right by Coast Cafe is the volleyball courts, seating, water features, and the memorial garden for the lifeboat crew.
Denton Gardens is a peaceful green space adjacent to Splash Point, perfect for a quiet break.
Waterwise Playground: This fun, interactive playground is right on the beach, a little further east from Splash Point.
Sea Lane Cafe (Goring): A popular spot for a break, further west from Splash Point but a good landmark if you're heading that way first.
Beach Huts & Promenade: Simply enjoy walking along the wide promenade, past the colorful beach huts for views.
Worthing Pier: As you get closer to town, the pier offers classic seaside views, cafes, and entertainment. Perch on the Pier is a nice restaurant with stunning sea views.
Tips for Your Walk:
Easy Access: The promenade is wide and generally flat, ideal for walking or cycling.
Varying Surfaces: Be aware that some sections near the beach huts can be shingle, so use the promenade path if you prefer a smoother surface.
Heading East: Continue past the pier for more cafes and towards Brighton. Brighton is easily accessible by bus. The service is reliable & regular with buses every 10 minutes (the bus stop is a few seconds walk from 147 By The Sea. On the way in to Brighton it is worth stopping off at Shoreham By Sea to browse around the shops, look at the historic listed houses and stunning architecture, to visit the marina if you just relax snd enjoy the cafes & restaurants. You can also drive to Brighton City Airport (formerly Shoreham Airport) which is less than 10 minutes away from 147 By The Sea and visit the wonderful historic Art Deco cafe at the Airport or you can take a look around the museum or even book a flight (or flying lesson) in one of their small planes.
Heading West: Walk towards Goring, Ferring, and beyond for quieter stretches and spots like the Bluebird Cafe. Lancing College Chapel is worth a visit - the chapel is absolutely stunning - it's generally open to the public daily, offering amazing Gothic Revival architecture, but it's essential to check their website or call ahead for specific opening times and closures due to college events, especially on Sundays and holidays, with signs at the entrance guiding visitors to parking and entry.
General Visiting Information:

Visit Arundel Castle or browse the main high street or wander down the quaint side streets filled with interesting shops and beautiful buildings - the architecture is breathtaking, if you continue travelling West about 35 minutes drive from 147 By The Sea is Chichester - another stunning historic town. Visit Chichester Cathedral, enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at The Ivy, browse the shops, take time to look around the museums and art galleries or book a show at the Festival theatre. There is also a huge cinema complex. If you are in Chichester, leave time in your day to visit Goodwood - take a tour of the house or walk around the grounds. Or book one of their incredible events - festival of speed, The Revival, the airport, a track day, Horseracing or Glorious Goodwood.

Great flat, generous rooms, wonderful views, excellently equipped (the only thing we missed was an ice cube tray). Great hosts too.The stairs up to the upper bedroom are steep and that room is a bit noisy from the main road. The balconies are really too narrow to use, but if you open the bay window in the kitchen it's just like a balcony without the breeze. So nice not to feel like too many beds have been squeezed into every available space so that the price can be upped. The off-road parking space is a great bonus.

Nice place in good location with excellent sea views, nice and clean inside however badly let down by dirty windows when we arrived and the balcony which has the best sea view being unusable all week due to the build up of bird droppings
