Great escape
We had a lovely time - cute and cozy cottage in a very quiet neighbourhood. Beautiful lake views. We loved drinking our coffee with the sunrise and enjoying a fire in the evenings.

Treated Poorly
I stayed July 7 to July 10. Owner offered a noon check-in which was lovely but forgot to send the door code. When we got the door code, we found the cottage in very poor condition. Dust on all furniture, beds unmade with sweat stains on the downstairs bedroom. Bathroom was dirty as well with human hair around the toilet and in bath. The bathroom towels were used towels. There was an empty shampoo bottle with no cap on the bathtub shelf and the bathroom sink sink was not clean. Kitchen sink not cleaned. Fridge was clean w/extra water which we did not use. The windows were appallingly dirty. Window sills and screens were black with dirt and full of bugs on the inside. The upstairs beds appeared clean but had not been made. All beds looked like someone had just slept in them. We were not warned that the sceptic thank is directly against the cottage and the smell was pretty bad, probably because of the hot temperature. It took us two hours to clean the inside of the cottage. It took another hour to sweep the outside deck . Also had to sweep outside walls as they were full of cobwebs and bugs. We didn't want that to fall in our food if we used the BBQ. I took pictures, sent them to the owner. Owner insisted their cleaning service had prepared the cottage. The owner later apologized but only refunded 100$. We had to clean the cottage and the owner refused to refund cleaning fees. We drove from NB to go clean this cottage. It was not a restful stay & I'm still very upset.

Stairs were dangerous, no railing on the wall, rope on the other side which is loose so would not be able to help you if you lost your balance. We could not use second floor. The water was undrinkable so had to buy water! The Water pressure was terrible just a small flow coming from bathroom & kitchen. Impossible to have a shower as the pressure was terrible? Owner said that it was an old cottage, I lived in 2 old houses 1902 & 1895 & water pressure was great. Nice view over Lake Erie. Not worth the price we paid. All appliances worked except for dishwasher.. Would not recommend this cottage especially if you have children or older people. The property is up for sale for $699,999.
