Sonnet Cottage is a picture postcard cottage set in a quiet hamlet overlooking the glorious Kent countryside, and yet just a short drive to the historic and coastal town of Sandwich and a little further to the medieval city of Canterbury. The cottage benefits from amazing sunrises from the front of the cottage and sunsets from the back, and the pretty cottage garden is a haven for peace and quiet, and wildlife. This characterful cottage has five bedrooms and two bathrooms and comfortably accommodates a maximum of six adults and two children. The large open plan sitting / dining room is a lovely sociable space for friends and family to relax.

peaceful haven

A wonderful place to stay for peace and quiet, and just switching off for a few days with family. Stand in front of the cottage, facing the fields ahead of you, and just listen to the soothing silence, a real change from our city life. Well-positioned for access to plenty of nice beaches, best of which was Ramsgate, less than 30 mins drive.

Quaint cottage, stunning location

A beautiful spot in the the Kent country. A pretty and quaint cottage with atunning views in every direction. Great base for seeing all the Kent favourites from. The room layout and bedroom setup is unusual and not described at all well, and when I queried the room layout I was given the wrong information. It was all workable, but I feel that a much more accurate description would make a big difference and take away lots of confusion.

Thanks for the memories

We travelled to Sandwich to visit with my dad's family we haven't seen in years. The cottage was big enough to hold us all. The garden was lovely and big for the kids to play and you can watch the sunset through the trees in the back garden. I'd say the house, being so old, was charming but definitely not designed for anyone over 5'7" as there were many bumped heads on doorways during our stay. We tried to duck as much as possible but sometimes we forgot. The road leading into the property was very tight, we had larger vehicles with us and it was a little scary taking them along on that first day but once you're there it is well worth it. We had an incident whilst there, one of the bathroom taps broke, I contacted customer services and a plumber was on site the next day to replace it. Really quick and efficient. Thanks Sonnet Cottage for the memories.

Wir hatten genau einen solchen Ort gesucht. Eine wunderschöne Umgebung mit viel Ruhe und trotzdem großartigen Optionen. Für alle war etwas dabei! Ob für Kinder oder Erwachsene bietet die Landschaft in Umgebung dieses wunderschönen Cottage die passende Atmosphäre. Zudem hatten wir reichlich Glück mit dem Wetter.
