100% Recommend.

100% Recommend.Fabulous cottage, has everything you need. A perfect location, especially for a drive over to the Isle of Skye. The views onto the loch are stunning with seals and grey herons making an appearance every day and we also enjoyed the wildlife hide, giving a higher view from where we spotted the porpoises! This was our first visit and we are very much looking forward to returning.

Small cottage hideaway right next to the loch.

Small cottage hideaway right next to the loch. Private and quiet, with great views and interesting garden seats. A good location for walking, hill-climbing and getting out of the water, or visiting local castles. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Our third stay here so I think that says a lot.

Our third stay here so I think that says a lot. Although the weather was not great this is still a fantastic location and offers a truly relaxing experience. The hosts are very welcoming as usual and are happy to offer advice and their years of experience in the area. Well worth a visit are Manuelas Wee Bakery in Ardelve ( the best coffee I’ve ever had ) , The Fisherman’s Kitchen in Lochalsh and Skye Free Range a relatively new enterprise in Vatten. Take advice from the locals as this area is incredibly popular these days and please listen to advice regarding travelling on the roads. Don’t let wet and murky weather put you off going out for the day as the scenery is second to non even in poor conditions.
