Beautiful house in a beautiful place! Very cozy accommodations and attentive and kind host. The village is lovely and very close by, made for excellent evening walks and morning runs. Our child especially enjoyed the many fun toys and such in the upstairs room.
Lovely property, very easy and comfortable stay. Pub and village store with cafe a 2 minute walk away in the village an extra bonus. Would recommend and would like to return to explore the area.

Beautiful property in an idyllic setting
We stayed for a weekend and found the accommodation very comfortable and clean. The area here is beautiful and very peaceful location. The Queens Head pub just a few minutes stroll away was great for food.
This was a beautiful little annex, well kitted out and very comfortable. Perfectly situated for our requirements (a local family wedding), and with a cracking little pub (food and drink-wise) easy walking distance away (approx 300 yards).
Such a lovely place and property to spend 2 nights of peace - 3 girl friends (without the kids!). Beautiful village, nice pub, near to beautiful Salisbury. Beautiful property.
My in laws stayed here and had a wonderful time. Emma was gloriously helpful and accommodating, going the extra mile to ensure they had a great time.
The house was spotless and incredibly cosy - the welcome cookies were the icing on the cake.
We would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely cottage
Lovely cottage, high standard and nice touches of welcome pack etc. The only down side is the upstairs bedroom, the twin, is open plan to the kitten and living area below. This was not clear in the description and it was where the children were sleeping, which made bedtime a little harder.
We had a lovely stay in Broad Chalke with our 3 small boys. The cottage itself is in a superb setting on the edge of the village - just 50 yards from the pub. It is attached to a large house with a large garden that our children could play rugby and football in, and it is well set up for a young family with everything you'd expect + a bit more e.g. great toy selection. It was pouring down the day we arrived. Our 4 and 6 YOs spent the morning building a train track upstairs in their room. It is well fitted out, practical, and with nice furnishings. Would certainly recommend.
Vielen Dank! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Sehr nette Gastgeber, tolle Wohnung und sehr praktisch gelegen in der Nähe von Salisbury und nicht weit zu Stone Henge.
We stayed for three nights as a family of 5. The property was spotlessly clean and Emma and Henry were excellent hosts. The Bedrooms sleep 5 comfortably. Living space is fine for a short stay although only one sofa so quite cozy for 5 to relax in the evening.
Absolutely beautiful accommodation, friendly & helpful host. Accommodation spotless. Lovely little touches, toys for children to play with. Will definitely be returning in the future
Initial correspondence with Emma was great, prompt replies to queries and even more so with the dreaded storm that coincided with our stay. This was easily rearranged and so thankful to Emma in being flexible. The property on arrival was clean, warm and cosy. This was just what we needed after a 3 hour Friday night drive.
The beds totally comfortable and the whole property is fantastic
Cannot fault it in anyway and would also suit a small family as 3 single beds in the attics space
Local amenities within a short walk- we visited the Queens Head PH only a 5 minute walk away and had a delightful meal
In conclusion we will be back and explore the area in much warmer climes but you won’t be disappointed with your stay here at all
We all thought the property was beautiful, very tranquil, comfortable and clean. It is an amazingly peaceful spot and we enjoyed sitting out in the owners lovely garden.
The owners, Emma and her husband could not have been nicer or more welcoming and gave us good advice on local places to visit.
Lovely cottage in a great location with very friendly and helpful hosts. Really spacious, well appointed and comfortable with access to the hosts beautiful garden. The area is hidden gem with amazing walks in open countryside, through woods and along the river with some starting directly from the cottage. We would definitely recommend and hope to return. Thank you.
We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. Everything was spotless and the decor and furnishings lovely. Emma and Henry were wonderful hosts checking to make sure we had everything we needed.
We will definitely return - absolutely first class!

About the host
Hosted by Emma Flint
We have 3 children and a friendly black labrador. We live next door to New Barn but there is plenty of space for everyone in the large garden.
Why they chose this property
We have lived in the area for many years but we moved to Broad Chalke in 2011 so that we could be closer to Salisbury and schools for our 3 children. The village is a very friendly community and we quickly found ourselves involved with the village tennis club, shop and village hall. One of our daughters spent Easter helping a local farmer with lambing.
What makes this property unique
New Barn and Mead House are located in a wonderful setting facing due south. We have beautiful views over the water meadows across the River Ebble to the village church. You can walk or cycle direct from the property with a choice of dozens of different tracks and paths to explore. Alternatively, take a stroll through our enchanting village to the watercress beds to buy fresh watercress and some free range eggs or local honey.
