The patio doors in the kitchen/dining area lead onto a wooden decking in the rear garden, which is a lovely sunspot for enjoying the best of the day’s sunshine and the far-reaching views that Glencoe affords.There’s plenty of room in the enclosed garden for a family to play. The front garden houses the parking area and is attractively laid out with gravel and mature planting.

Glencoe is a lovely highland village with many amenities including a café, pub, filling station, church and dentists, and there are some good restaurants, cafés and pubs nearby, all serving good, local food. The nearby village of Ballachulish, just about a 1-mile walk and a minute’s drive from the cottage, has a Co-op supermarket, Patisserie, doctor’s surgery, tourist information with a coffee shop and a very popular well reviewed restaurant.

Steeped in history, Glencoe is surrounded by the most breath-taking scenery of mountains and lochs and offers a large range of sports and outdoor activities, including winter sports, hill walking, climbing, mountaineering, fishing and water sports, mountain biking and golfing. Oakwood Cottage is conveniently located near to Fort William and Ben Nevis in the Lochaber area, and the popular town of Oban, the ’Seafood Capital of Scotland’ and ’Gateway to the Isles’, is 33 miles away.
