very comfortable and well appointed - very friendly and helpful owner.
A good location, off the beaten track!, but with good access to major roads for sightseeing. Excellent local shops in Fort William and wide selection of supermarkets.Really enjoyed our stay.
We only had a brief stay but everything was wonderful. Shepherds Rest is quaintly tucked away to offer peace. I loved the 3 black labs, leaving rock gifts on the patio daily. Our host was very lovely and accomodating. If we make it back to Ft William, this is where we want to be.
The place was wonderful! The hosts' son greeted us and made us feel welcome. The house was comfortable and cozy. The three bedrooms worked nicely for our family. The view of Ben Nevis was amazing. We walked to the river nearby and enjoyed petting the dogs. We'd recommend this place for sure.
Our family enjoyed the house and the owner's dogs that were very friendly. The owner was helpful and kind. Getting to the house involved navigating a small tunnel that was a bit tricky.
The Shepherds Rest was our favorite stay during our 2 week vacation to Ireland and Scotland. Very spacious, clean and welcoming. Especially loved our greeting of the black labs, so cute!! It was an adventure getting to the place, but our family loves adventures and it was well worth it. Would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful family stay and everything we needed in the kitchen was included in the well-appointed, warm home. The views from the breakfast table are breath-taking!
This property was excellent. The location, facilities and attention to detail were all good. The owner was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. In all a wonderful holiday.
The location was quiet and had great views of Ben Nevis. It had access to a beautiful walking path along the canals and was a nice getaway that close to Fort William and Glencoe.
Our family of two adults and two children loved our stay at Shepherds Rest. The mountain views are beautiful, the beds were cozy and we had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to puzzles and toys. It was a perfect base for taking the Jacobite train!
It was a great surprise to my partner and Ilona was great. Brilliant suggestions on where to go and friendly as can be. We will definitely be coming back to the Highlands and staying again soon. Thank you so much Ilona!!! - B and D
