We had a wonderful family holiday. The villa is well located in central Crete a short drive from Rethymno and within an hour of many destinations but also in a quiet traditional village. We enjoyed the mix of relaxing by the pool and seeing some of the historic sites often ending the day with a meal at the excellent local taverna.

Excellent Villa

We had a superb holiday. The villa is lovely with spacious comfortable rooms and courtyard, total privacy and a great pool. The photographs don’t do it full justice. There are stunning views across the countryside towards the mountains. Located in a small quiet village within walking distance to the shops, bakery and tavernas of Amenio.Everyone was so friendly, and Dimitri and Maria made us very welcome and looked after us so well. Thank you.

Our stay at Villa Archontiko Galliaki was lovely, the villa itself was fantastic. Having everything you need to hand. Such a lovely location with shops and restaurants near by. You could get by without a car but its great to have to travel further afar. The pool was kept immaculate with frequent visits to check it was crystal clear and cleaning was excellent. We wouldnt hesitate to go back there.

Very enjoyable - great villa would suit a group of 3 couples and 2 kids very well certainly luxurious accommodation for the 3 of us. The villa is really 3 separate apartments with a communal kitchen and pool. Nice area very rural around the villa and good access by driving to beaches and mountains etc. We rented a basic little hatchback but if one wanted to explore the less obvious parts of the island a 4-wheel drive vehicle would be good lots of rough unpaved roads eg the road to Palm Beach. Very good holiday thanks

Superb villa full of charm and renovated with great taste. The courtyard and terrace make you want to come back to a more sunny time to enjoy the pool more. The house is located a few minutes from the village where there are many small shops that can be opened very late (bakeries grocery stores petrol stations and inns). 10 minutes from Rethymnon and about 30 minutes from the south of the island. We were greeted very warmly at our late arrival and we thoroughly enjoyed the comforts of the housekeeping and the linen changed in mid-stay. Luxury

Wunderschönes Haus

Wir wurden trotz Flugverspätung sehr herzlich von Dimitris empfangen. Das Haus ist sehr großzügig aufgeteilt, was für uns (zwei Familien mit kleinen und großen Kindern) perfekt war. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und wären gern. Ich länger geblieben.
