About this property
Clayhanger Lodge is a spacious, converted detached barn
Clayhanger Lodge is a spacious, converted detached barn which offers spectacular views of the surrounding Dorset countryside and the sea beyond. This excellent, light filled property has been furnished with a mix of traditional and contemporary styling and comfortably accommodates up to six guests with three large en-suite bedrooms all equipped with televisions.
There is an open-plan split-level kitchen; sitting room and dining area; and the fully equipped tiled kitchen has a range cooker, an American style fridge-freezer with filtered water and an ice-maker. Additionally there is a dishwasher, washer/dryer and a microwave. The expansive sitting area is bright with a wooden floor and original beams adding character to this smart property. Comfortable sofas invite you to sit down and relax in front of a 43″ smart television and bluetooth speaker, and the large dining table is perfectly positioned for enjoying the delightful views through large glass doors which sit on both sides of the living space. There is a convenient ground floor cloakroom and an additional boot room too.
The three generous en-suite bedrooms all have wonderful views, with two providing super-king size beds. The third bedroom is a twin with zip and link beds that can be made into a super-king bed upon request. Egyptian cotton bed sheets, goose feather and down duvets and pillows are provided for an added touch of luxury.
The property has a private raised garden terrace with teak dining furniture and during the Summer months a charcoal barbecue is provided for guests.
Additional Information
Please note that this property is built on a hill side and therefore there are slight floor changes between the main hall and kitchen, dining and sitting room, first two bedrooms and first floor.
Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
Highchair available on request.
From the end of October to Easter, the garden furniture will be removed from the property due to the severity of the weather in Abbotsbury.
Please note that internet access is offered at this property for recreational purposes only and is not meant for business use. The speed/service may vary from time to time. Should guests experience difficulties or loss of use, neither the owner nor the Dorset Hideaways will be held responsible.
