We stayed for 2 nights in the hot summer. It was a very nice experience. The property manager was very accommodating (we had to change the reservation a few times, but had no problems). The property was cool, clean and inviting. The bed in the master bedroom was luxuriously comfortable, the washer dryer was the BEST we have ever used (I want a set!) and there were TONS of outlets and chargers scattered around the house- a real pleasure since most older homes have a severe outlet shortage. We have local family, so we will definitely be back.
Do not rent this unit if you 5'8" or taller because you won't be able to stand up in the kitchen. 5'1" if you want to use the upstairs bedroom.Do not rent this unit unless you can see in the dark..MB a totlal of 30 lumens with all lights blazing.Do not rent this unit unless you like ants.

Smelled like Pee
The upstairs had a bunch of pee stains and reeked. We had to buy febreeze and carpet cleaner to try and get rid of the smell. There were a bunch of bugs, the couch was covered in dirt and crumbs. It did not look like it was cleaned before we got there. We had to leave and book a room at a nearby hotel. The property manager did not answer our phone calls and the host did not answer our messages until the following morning when we had already left.

I always appreciate dog friendly rentals and I give some leeway in what I expect since there are fewer dog friendly places. This house didn’t quite fit what we expected though. The living room was just as lovely as pictured, but the kitchen and bathrooms badly need renovation. The upstairs bedrooms are impossible to stand upright in, and I’m only 5’4”. I had to walk around with my head ducked the whole time, which I hadn’t really expected. I don’t mind having to watch my head in a corner of a room, but it was literally impossible to walk around. The primary bedroom was nice but the “en-suite” bathroom was literally en-suite because it didn’t have a door. There was an accordion slatted closet door that was impossible to close, and the bathroom was really just a laundry closet with a molded plastic dorm shower. The bed was comfortable but the air conditioner was so loud, it was like sleeping in a jet engine. We had difficulty getting in when we first arrived because there was no info sent ahead of our trip. I appreciated the weights and yoga mat provided, they were a nice touch. All the kitchen ware was barely functional and almost all the plates and bowls were chipped or cracked. The best part of the rental was definitely the comfortable living room, where we ended up spending most our time. It was good proximity to Saugerties and Woodstock.

What makes this property unique
The downstairs bedroom contains a West Elm king bed with a Leesa mattress and access to an ensuite bathroom.
The two upstairs bedrooms contain queen beds and share the upstairs bathroom. The upstairs rooms have slanted ceilings which add to the cottage charm, but tall visitors be prepared to duck your head.
