About the host
Hosted by Ivan Haag
I live in Summerland, BC now. I skied at Apex since 1972, and it's part of me now. I love to share the mountain and keep it a secret at the same time. Apex is truly a hidden gem.
Why they chose this property
I love the family, local atmosphere here, and it's nice that I also live 1 hour away. I have spent every holiday there with my family. Christmas is amazing.
What makes this property unique
The location can't be beat. Just go down the elevator, grab your gear from the ski room, walk 10 ft out the front door and strap on your boards! ..or walk another 40 feet to the bar. I love looking at the mountain from the room, and checking the live conditions. Very convenient for grabbing a quick bite or warming up. No need to drive anywhere once you are there.
