Being located on the top floor of 3 you will be able to keep your curtains and doors opened to the surf 24/7 without ever being exposed to the aforementioned common areas. Being top floor will also eliminate any potential noise from above from neighbors.

This place is very charming and comfortable. The deck overlooks the town and the ocean and the views are lovely. The deck is perfect for guests who want to enjoy dinners and drinks on their balconies. The furniture is comfortable as are the beds.

Great unit in a perfect location

We enjoyed the property. The location is perfect. We were across the street from the beach and restaurant row. El Anclote is on a hill so we had a great view of the bay. We could see whales in the distance every day. If you go in whale season, bring binoculars because the whales put on a show. The weather for Christmas week was absolutely perfect. The unit is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Our family stayed within the gates of Pinta Mita, which was a very short distance. There are a couple of small grocery stores in close proximity. Local restaurants are really good. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Carlos and the other security guards were very friendly. They even put up with me trying to speak Spanish, and maybe even enjoyed it. For better or worse, security is very tight. The complex is quiet but you will some roosters in the morning. The host Chris is helpful. If you prefer the village to the resort, this is an excellent place to stay. All in all, this was an excellent

An Enjoyable Experience

We are two couples, everyone over the age of 60. We loved Punta de Mita and the condo! The condo is spacious and was well stocked for our needs. We loved the fact that it had a bbq on the balcony. A highlight for all of us was being able to watch the whales almost any time of day from the balcony. They were particularly active in the morning and evening. The reason for the 4 rating on cleanliness was because of the floors in the showers. They could probably stand a re-do. The condo itself was very clean with cleaning service every day if we wanted. We had a few shower drain issues, but the property manager, Chris, was quick to get someone there to get it sorted out. Also, the battery on the keyless entry went dead and Chris came very shortly to replace it. The beds were very comfortable and at night we slept with the balcony doors open. We preferred the outside airflow to air conditioning. That also says something for how safe we felt at El Anclote. There is 24 hour security and with Carlos, Antonio and Olga watching out for us, we never had a worry. The pool is immaculate and we soon learned that no food means no chips or nuts or anything. We were very kindly asked by security not to eat in the pool area. The pool is great for doing laps or just hanging out and the hot tub was a favourite stop before going back to our condo. There are many restaurants close by that vary from very expensive to very inexpensive. We enjoyed them all! We also bought fresh fish at the marina. Our guys watched the fishermen bring it off the boat and then selected the fish they wanted and had it filleted right there. We cooked it on the bbq that evening and it was incredible. We can’t wait to go back next year because we feel we haven’t begun to see all there is to see and try the restaurants we missed this year. We won’t hesitate to try all the little eating places and taco stands on the other side from the Main Street. The people in Punta de Mita are friendly and helpful. It was an enjoyable experience!

Host was great, very clean. Views of the ocean partially obstructed by a condo in front but you still have lots to look at. Other guests in complex were great as well. Security guard is very helpful. Not very quiet in my opinion but I’m not used to a city environment. The complex next door has a leaf blower going for an hour every morning which made it uncomfortable to have coffee on the deck but not the hosts fault for sure. Would recommend if your ok with the noise.

Beautiful condo near the beach

We very much enjoyed our stay at the condo for my friend's wedding. It was clean and well appointed, and it was very convenient for walking into town. The security at the condo was also great (even though it seems that Punta Mita is very safe in general), and it was nice being able to relax at the pool since the beach is not quite as quiet. Additionally, my friend left some personal items at the condo and Chris was very helpful in getting them back to her. I would recommend staying here if you'd like something a little more authentic than the resort area but still want a beautiful atmosphere with some privacy.

Perfect Family Vacation

We will definitely be coming back. The location and condo were amazing. We had the perfect view and easy access to the beach, shops and restaurants. We had the best time with all the activities available in the area. If you get a chance , the Ally Cat tour to the Marieta Islands was incredible. Wonderful Trip!

We attended a wedding at the nearby St. Regis Hotel. This property was not only convenient to the hotel, but to the little "village" below our condo and the wonderful restaurants within the village. A true Mexican experience. The view from our balcony of the vast Pacific was breathtaking. Castro, at the gate, was very friendly. Chris, the owner, was great about answering questions promptly and addressing any concerns. The beds were comfortable. AC would sometimes randomly cut off, but all good. I would stay here again - in the heart of everything!!

The property was easy to book. Chris was attentive to all our questions and concerns. The property was as described. The kitchen had all the essentials to make breakfast, lunch and dinners. We were even able to barbecue a couple of nights. We had one small maintenance issue come up and Chris had a repairman there in under 2 hours. Impressive! We had most of our meals out on the deck enjoying the views. We would stay in this property again and would recommend this to others.

Hidden gem in paradise

My family of 3 Just returned from a relaxing week at this beautiful condo. Perfectly situated above the main road with amazing views from the open air terrace. The condo is spacious, has comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful grounds and a refreshing pool to cool off in! A very quick walk to the beach and lots of yummy restaurants to choose from. Chris was wonderful to work with and always quick to answer any questions we had. Now that I'm back home to sub zero temps, I'm already thinking about my return visit to paradise! Thanks again for sharing your slice of heaven!

Great place to stay

Spacious condo, friendly staff, easy access to great restaurants and beaches. Condo pool area was nice and the housekeeping was a great addition. We didn't have beach towels initially but this was quickly remedied. Nice vibe and a great little town. Condo had good water pressure and the beds were comfy (although my kids' ratings of the guest bed were split-too soft vs just right). We didn't cook in much as there was great food all around town. Activity really picked up as the winter holidays approached but still no real "crowds" to speak of (especially vs. Sayulita). Would definitely stay there again!

Perfect location for a wonderful family vacation!

We stay in the property March 20-27, 2017. The condo was beautiful a perfect set up for our family. We really enjoyed the little town and the locals were very friendly and helpful. We took the advice of Chris and hit many of the local hot spots. Chris the owner was very helpful and gave lots of advice about the area. We will certainly visit again!

Beautiful area with great views and a comfortable condo

My family of 4 had a great vacation and met some really nice local people. Chris the owner was good to deal with and provided lots of information. The weather was perfect during our stay, and we always felt safe. The condo and the area are great for people looking to relax, but with having two teenagers you may need to make several trips in to Puerto Vallarta to keep things interesting for them. This can be expensive. Bus rides in are pretty cheap, but it takes a solid 1.5 hrs one way. We would cab it back which after a while started to add up. If you are looking for night life you'll probably find Punta De Mita too far out. The town was relatively quiet by 10pm, but there are a lot of roosters in the area, so good luck sleeping with the windows open. The nearby beach was pretty rocky, but if you walk for a while you'll find some sandy areas. Also expect a lot of peddlers, most of which were pretty nice and not pushy (everyone has to make a living). The pool area was clean and the water perfect. Needs more chairs. The property management staff were all very nice. I couldn't quite give a 5 star rating because of a few issues. The security guard didn't have our names when we arrived which caused a few anxious moments. The cleaning staff had our condo ready early for us which was appreciated and the condo made a good first impression. The unit is tastefully decorated, was clean and pretty spacious. The unit could probably stand a little TLC in a few areas, but nothing major. The phone and bedroom TV wasn't working and when I asked the cleaning staff to fix it, they got the phone working, but couldn't fix the TV and actually knocked out the living room TV, but the WiFi worked well so we at least had Netflix. The unit has most things you'll need and when I realized we were down a beach towel and needed another bar soap both were quickly added. Daily freshening of the unit was included and done nicely, but my biggest gripe was that after 7 days we were supposed to receive a more thorough cleaning ( fresh towels and sheets), but we had the same towels and sheets our whole stay. I left notes in Spanish (as best I could) asking for new ones, but never got any. Varo the maid was pleasant, but only knows Spanish so communicating was tough. I learned a few common phrases before coming, but it would probably help English speaking renters if she brushed up a little on some English phrases. Gripes aside it was still a great experience and I'm not sorry we came.
