LUXURY APARTMENT IN THE HEART OF ARLES

Luxury apartment located next to the Place du Forum in a 15th century house renovated to a high specification. Accommodation is situated over 60 m². On the 1st Floor there is a light and comfortable lounge, kitchen/diner space with state-of-the-art appliances including a wine fridge, oven, hob, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, large fridge freezer and (wonderful in the Winter) a wood burner. The 2nd Floor comprises two bedrooms (with blackout curtains and top quality French-made mattresses for the perfect night's sleep), with two en-suite bathrooms and a separate toilet. On the 3rd floor there is a terrace (with dining table, chairs and a small sofa/2 loungers) with a 180° view over the red slate rooftops of historic Arles.
On request and availability you can rent the whole house which is listed on VRBO as Maison 26 (Apartment 26 + Studio 26 = Maison 26) giving you the possibility to accommodate 6 people in 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms and 2 toilets.
Other things to note:
The narrow and steep 15th century spiral staircase is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or young children.
An old town vehicle access badge is provided for the duration of your stay
We offer a concierge service on request (at an additional cost)
For stays of 4 nights or more a change of linen and towels is possible on request (at an additional cost)
Beach towels and dressing gowns are also available (at an additional cost).
The TV with Chromecast has no aerial and therefore please note there is no terrestrial (French) TV.
A handy shopping caddy for the essential Wednesday and Saturday markets is provided!

The apartment was very nice - very nicely decorated and in a great part of town. Restaurants and shopping were very close, as were the scenic landmarks. The kitchen/dining/common area was very well equipped, and an efficient use of space. The outdoor seating on the third floor was great. The second bedroom / bathroom was a bit cramped for 2 adults.

Thank you very much for your kind comments about the apartment, the decoration and the location — I’m delighted you enjoyed your stay and the rooftop terrace… my favourite spot for a morning coffee! Regarding the second bedroom and bathroom, they are indeed more compact, as clearly described in the listing, with a 120 cm bed in the second bedroom. However, the space was carefully designed so that guests can still move comfortably around the bed rather than having it pushed directly against the wall. We also incorporated substantial storage solutions, including lift-up storage beneath the bed and two bedside cabinets with three drawers each. The apartment was designed to provide two separate bathrooms for four guests — something quite rare in a historic Arles townhouse at this price point. Although compact, the second bathroom is fully functional and fitted to a high standard, with quality fixtures and fittings throughout. As with many character properties in the historic centre, room sizes naturally vary, and we always encourage guests to read the full description and room details carefully before booking to ensure the accommodation suits their expectations.
