The property is lovely and as described . The pool is wonderful with beautiful plants surrounding it and very clean .We all had a wonderful 3 night stay .The only thing was there was some confusion over the price of the hot tub 24 hours before we were arriving With Vibro ! All got sorted by the owners in the end .Would highly recommend this as a lovely peaceful place to rest and unwind , with just a short stroll to the beach .
Great location for coastal walks and a very well stocked kitchen. Signage to the property could be clearer but some research on Google maps in advance saved us from getting lost!
The property is smaller than thought The high light was the swimming which was amazing, warm, clean and spacious Hot tub is plastic portable one so you sit on the floor not worth the extra 50! Wouldn’t seat 4 comfortably The barn is tired and needs a bit of love and care. Kitchen is well equipped but pans old and marked No tea towels Bathroom was ok no hand towels Toilet seat broken and dirty behind the lid Shower great if you want a full shower with hair wet too, no hand spray or lower spray for avoiding your hair. It is not luxury The bedrooms are very small. Two bedrooms are only suitable for children. We were 4 adults so the beds were put together to accommodate us but had no headboard and no wall to rest against. Location was good for walks 11 mins to the beach which is beautiful Taxi to west bay was 10 and definitely worth a visit to the platform restaurant. Bridport, a market town, only a short drive away.

Thank you for your review. It's always helpful to get objective feedback. The guests who stayed with you left a lovely message in the visitors book so it goes to show you can't please all the people all the time. We do not market the Barn Annex as luxury accommodation. It is a quirky unique space with favulous large open plan kitchen living space. The kitchen is tired but is well equiped and practical and many guests comment on the beauty of being able to prepare food together and chat with others in the lounge and be able to eat around and a dining table.
The bedrooms are cosy and obviously if you wanted to spend time in your bedroom rather than enjoy the fabulous scenery and location around you it would not be the property for you.
I did not find any evidence of a broken toilet seat or signs of dirt behind the seat. I appreciate guests have different expectations. We are not a barret home style property but a relaxed friendly antique furniture place where guests can come and feel home from home.
We have enjoyed a lovely stay at the Barn. With special thanks to our hosts Vicky and Merv and their lovely family. The converted barn is a nice cottage with a very cozy familyroom (fireplace, open plan kitchen). It’s light and colourfull, even on a clouded day. We have enjoyed the great swimming pool and hot tub. But most of all, we loved the beautiful walks through the countryside and along the coast. All within 300m. Thanks for having us!
We really enjoyed our stay in the barn annex. It's clean, well stocked and we had everything we needed. The security of the property could possibly do with improving as both entrances were tricky to operate and didn't feel overly robust. The directions made finding the property slightly difficult as they directed us to the local holiday park. We eventually found it by locating the pool at the property on Google maps. Mervyn was very helpful - he introduced himself to us on arrival and gave us a brief run down of the property. We asked for some firewood and some was brought round promptly. The pool is lovely but the hot tub was not available. It's a tricky little place to get to but if you are looking for a quiet getaway in a rural area, this is a great place to consider.
Jederzeit gerne wieder!
