In the summer, swimming, sailing, and windsurfing are the major activities, and golfers will appreciate the superb Holyhead 18-hole links course. It's a terrific location for nature enthusiasts with abundance of rock pools, cliff top treks, and renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve. Trearddur Bay itself has stores, bars, and restaurants, but Holyhead, which is close by, has a bigger selection of services. These include a first-rate leisure facility, an eye-catching harbour front, a marina, the second-longest breakwater in the world, and thrilling ferry rides to Dublin. You can enjoy hikes in the lovely Holyhead Breakwater Country Park and a fantastic cafe at the Maritime Museum in Holyhead. The lovely Newborough, with its wonderful woodland and beach, and Beaumaris, with its town and castle, are both located further away. a fantastic location with lots to do and see!
