About this property

Niwl Y Mor: Stunning beachfront cottage in Rhosneigr sleeping 6 guests

Step directly out to one of Anglesey's finest beaches from this Rhosneigr holiday home.

Check In: 4pm | Check Out: 10am

'Niwl Y Mor' could be translated as 'Mist of the Sea'. The stylish three-bedroom, pet-friendly accommodation is situated in the small, exclusive development of Porth Crigyll and the beach is literally on your doorstep!

This is a rare opportunity to stay in a privileged location with fresh sea air on tap and a marvellous sense of space and freedom to be had. Niwl Y Mor truly is a holiday home where you can completely disconnect, relax and unwind.

The one-of-a-kind accommodation is set over two floors with a sitting room on each floor and a bedroom on the ground floor, which makes Niwl Y Mor ideal for guests who have difficulty with stairs.

On the ground floor

The downstairs open-plan living room, diner and kitchen is a show-stopper. Beautiful, bright and airy with wood floors throughout and patio doors leading out to the decked terrace and sand dunes!

The living room is furnished with a gorgeous chunky sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table, and a flat-screen TV.

The rustic-style dining table comfortably seats six guests and the fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare breakfast, a picnic to take to the beach or dinner for the whole family when you don't feel like dining out.

The ground floor bedroom is a twin bedroom, ideal for kids, teenagers or grandparents. The shower room opposite features a walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.

There is also a separate utility room at the entrance of Niwl Y Mor.

On the first floor

The accommodation on the first floor features beautiful vaulted ceilings. The sitting room up here has an incredible sense of space and light with tall windows that reach up into the vaulted ceiling space and lead out to the beautiful decked terrace with awe-inspiring views of the sea and coastline and where you can contemplate life with a chilled sundowner.

The sitting room is beautifully furnished with two large sofas and a TV (although who needs a TV with this view?). This is a great room for adults or children alike, and teenagers will absolutely love the space - you might have to book to use it!

Upstairs there are two further bedrooms. One king-size room with an en suite shower room and a further double bedroom.

There is a further family bathroom with a bath, a walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.

A stay at Niwl Y Mor is a unique opportunity not to be missed!

Weeks Stay
Communication prior to arrival was good, but the constant notifications that we couldn’t arrive before 4pm, due to the property being prepared didn’t set the right tone for us. The house is set in Beautiful location hence why we chose to stay and pay the amount we did. Unfortunately there was no hot water the first morning so cold showers all around. This was however rectified very swiftly when we reported it. The property does look tired in places, but was very comfortable. For the price we paid we would have expected not to be rationed to one toilet roll in each toilet and also don’t expect to have to strip the beds on leaving, which for us is a legacy undertaking from COVID. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but this was detracted from by the small points mentioned.

Superb location right on the beach
A great location right on the beach with sea views from the upstairs lounge. Very clean and well maintained with ample kitchen hardware.

stunning location and beautifully presented
As stated in many of the previous reviews fabulous property in an enviable location, it would be a dream to own somewhere like this. The weather wasn't particularly good for the time of year, so we spent many hours in the upstairs lounge just watching the kite surfers. The only negative was having no control of the heating, it was supposed to be set at 20 degrees according to the information pack, but with unseasonably chilly weather for July, at 15 degrees sometimes, the only radiator that came on at all was in the hall, and that was only barely warm. Not sure if it had been turned down because of the time of year and expectation of warmer weather generally, meaning that heating shouldn't be needed. Just meant that the evenings were a little bit chilly - but the views managed to distract us :-) We found it very comfortable, well equipped and presented. I suspect there were new sofas, addressing the comments in a previous review. A great base to explore the island and obviously very easy access to the beautiful beach, which wasn't busy at all, so great for letting the dog out and have a good run. (just a heads up to other dog owners - we were warned that there are a lot of adders nesting in the sand dunes this year so to be careful if the dog is off lead to keep him on the beach and out of the dunes - with such a large beach available this wasn't a problem at all) Would definitely recommend this property and look forward to coming back

Loved it!!
What a great location!! We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Niwl Y Mor. We loved the access to the beach and village centre. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We spent every evening in the upstairs lounge just looking at the view. All in all one of the best properties we have stayed in.
