About the property
Surrounded by vast countryside in the pretty village of Markington, this beautiful stone cottage is a delightful escape for two. The traditional interiors and original features make for a cosy home from home, enough so that you will never want to leave. Spend your days exploring the picturesque walking trails with your four-legged friend and your evenings getting cosy in front of the log-burning stove. Should you wish to explore the area, Nidderdale AONB and the Yorkshire Dales are only a stone's throw away.
The space
This quaint, storybook cottage is decorated in a traditional country style, featuring exposed wooden beams and cosy soft furnishings throughout.
Step through the front door and into the open-plan living space. The underfloor heating paves the way to the comfortable living room, complete with two inviting sofas, a Smart TV and a warming log-burning stove for those crisp, winter nights. Snuggle up fireside with a fine wine or grab a book from the bookshelf for an afternoon of peace and quiet.
Meanwhile, the country-style kitchen features everything you should need to prepare a hearty meal in the comfort of your cosy cottage. You will have access to an electric oven, a gas hob, a toaster and a coffee machine. Once your delicious dish is prepared, head over to the two-seater dining table to enjoy a romantic meal for two.
The ground floor is complete with a WC, shower room and luxurious toiletries to enjoy.
Head through the traditional style door, where you will find an enclosed staircase leading the way to the mezzanine bedroom. This delightful room is adorned with exposed beams, vaulted ceiling and exceptional countryside views. As you sink into the soft, double bed, look up to the skylight and admire a blanket of stars as you drift off to sleep.
Outside, there is a beautiful outdoor seating area, complete with a royal blue bistro set where you can enjoy a freshly brewed coffee as the sun rises over the picturesque countryside. The Ripon Rowel Walk passes by the house and leads you through a gate to a cricket pitch, perfect for walks in all seasons with your four-legged friend but don't forget your wellies.
