If you’re looking for a quiet romantic getaway for 2, The Smithy is an ideal location with scenic surroundings and country walks nearby. You’ll have access to a beautiful private walled garden, with fruit trees and wild flowers (located just a few yards away), where you can relax, enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.
If on the other hand you want to use it as a base you won’t be short of things to do. Nearby, the Victorian Spa town of Harrogate offers many delights including the Victorian Turkish Baths and Spa, The Pump Room Museum, the famous Betty’s tea rooms and the RHS Harlow Car Gardens. Within a few miles you’ll find the Cathedral city of Ripon, Knaresborough Castle, Ripley Castle, Bolton Abbey, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden and the beautiful countryside of the North Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The Smithy has a stunning open plan living area with vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams (actual reclaimed timber from a ‘Battle of Trafalgar’ ship), creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere. The comfortable living area is perfect for relaxing with a book, listening to music or watching the TV. The fully equipped Kitchen comprises a range of fitted modern units with cooker, microwave, fridge and washer dryer. There is a cosy bedroom with a king size bed and a vaulted ceiling. The shower room has a modern white suite with WC, washbasin set within a vanity unit, and walk-in shower with tiled floor and walls and a heated towel rail.

A fantastic holiday cottage in a great location
The cottage was excellent: beautifully decorated, well equipped and very quiet. It was in a great location too, very convenient for exploring the nearby towns of Knaresborough and Harrogate.

Good combination of peaceful retreat and well positioned accommodation
We stayed with our two dogs and we all loved the accommodation. It was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and we all loved tje secret garden where the dogs were able to run free.

We will make sure you have all the immediate essential's on hand as well as fresh linen and towels. There is full free WiFI and a flatscreen smart TV, so you'll be able to log onto your favourite subscriptions and be feeling right at home in no time.
