Primrose Cottage is very well equipped, and the owners are very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful stay, our second time here, and it did not disappoint. The only slightly negative comment we would make was that the duvet on the double bed was rather lightweight and cold for us oldies during the bad weather we had! A slightly higher Tog rating would have meant there was nothing negative to comment upon at all. We do not blame the owners for Storm Cieran!
Ideal place to stay with our two terriers.
The cottage well equiped, clean and had everything we needed.
James and David were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
We will definately return in the future.
There’s too much to say about this property, wonderful from start to finish. Easy check in, helpful hosts and an immaculately clean cottage in an extremely peaceful environment. Nothing was too much, even when we didn’t add our dog onto the booking until the day before- it wasn’t an issue. We can’t wait to return!
Lovely little cottage in great location , quiet yet close to york. Really appreciate the cot that was made up for our little boy and the lovely big bed for us 😀
Primrose Cottage offers a very high standard of accommodation in Yorkshire. All facilities were excellent and the owners provided tea/coffee/milk for us on arrival. Communication with the owners was very good throughout the process.
This was a really beautiful property, set on a farm which felt very peaceful and quiet, however was also close to the local towns. Good modern features inside and the heating was great as we were there on a chilly weekend. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
As a family we stayed in both Bluebell and Primrose cottages. Couldn't be better for a family get together. We went to York and Beningbrough Hall ,both only a short drive away. The cottages were both immaculately clean, well equipped, lovely and quiet. Extra touches, tea bags, coffee, sugar, milk, welcome on arrival, washing up liquid and hand wash appreciated, not all places provide these. Highly recommended.
Had a great weekend at Primrose Cottage. Great walk behind the cottages for the dogs. Very helpful and gracious hosts. Lovely place and very comfortable and clean.
A beautiful cottage perfect for our needs - we are a couple with a 15 month old baby. Everything we needed was provided, including a cot for the baby, and the cottage was immaculate. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms with nice decor and spotlessly clean. Really nice place and very welcoming and helpful staff, very patient with us when bad traffic on our journey delayed us and we arrived at 10pm! Lovely area as well.
This is a clean and beautifully presented property in a rural setting. Just right for getting away from it all, but still central enough to get to York, Leeds or Whitby.
The small selection of milk etc was a very welcome additional touch.
This is somewhere that we would come back too.
