Ideally located only a short walk to the city centre. Property itself is clean and well presented, and I imagine the outdoor space is great in warmer weather.

Beautiful and great location!

The flat was exactly as described, and the Easter treats left were greatly appreciated. everything was very clean and comfortable, we were only a 5-10 minute walk from most attractions in York! If we were to visit York again, we definitely would stay here and will recommend it to any friends or relatives who might visit the area.

Very happy

We loved the location and walking access to city center, bus and train routes. The house is very comfortable for 4 adults, nice kitchen and after five days of travel the washing machine was a welcome sight! Best find food wise was the Polish Barbican restaurant. Good pubs and food in the neighborhood too. Loved it!

What a hidden gem

This property is much better than the pictures show. It has comfy beds, big fluffy towels, lots of little touches, and a welcome pack. Everything was great. Communication with the host was prompt and reliable.

Peaceful stay

Riversmead is in an excellent location. Easy walk to all in York. Quite location. Lovely, warm welcoming feeling when you walk over the door step. Nics to have some staples in the fridge.

Cosy and convenient

An immaculate cosy house just minutes from the City Centre. We were delighted with it and all the amenities plus the bonus of being next to the water with the attendant wild life. Just one thought, a diagram showing the shortest route to the tow path, main road etc would have been handy. Thanks and we would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely fabulous!

We had a lovely stay. The location was excellent for the Barbican as we were going to see a show. Also very close to town centre so easy access. Lovely house, beautifully cleaned and presented. Lovely outdoor area for drinks in the sunshine by the river. Lots of space to sit in the lounge. Very spacious upstairs - comfy beds and pilllows. Definitely recommend this property and I will def be back. Thank you for the welcome pack too xx

Lovely House

We had a 2 night stay at this lovely house which is in a great location for reaching the city centre quickly. The house was clean and nicely decorated and had ALL the essentials - washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, WiFi, electric shower. The area itself was really quiet, being a small cul de sac and we didn’t see or hear the people in the nearby houses. There were plenty of towels and the owners very kindly left little chocolates on the bed and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge….just extra little touches that made us feel welcome. Overall a great stay in a nice city in a really lovely house and I’d have no hesitation in booking this house again for a future visit.

Fantastic house to explore York from.

Very easy to communicate with the owner Jayne. Immaculately clean with a large kitchen and towels, linen, dishcloths, tea and coffee all provided, and a lovely unexpected welcome in the fridge of prosecco, bread, butter and milk. Very clear wufi codes etc too.The garden is much bigger than expected and was lovely to sit in by the river. We all slept so well in very comfy beds. We will recommend the house and are planning back in the future. (The only thing missing was some kitchen roll, and to say there are stairs in the property, but neither caused us an issue.) We had a fantastic weekend. Thank you.

Amazing Place

This was an amazing place for my family (including 3 teens) to stay. Very clean, easy check-in, great kitchen facilities. Dedicated on-site parking right in front of unit. Great location. A little off the beaten path but very quiet and only a 10-15 minute walk from downtown and and the old city center. Close to several grocery stores. The hosts were very responsive. We had a kitchen appliance problem on a holiday but the hosts came out to the unit to fix the issue. Only one set of keys for the unit (previous guests had lost the second set and the hosts hadn't had time to replace) so we could not split up to do different things but the host intends to procure a second set. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again!

This property was all we wanted. Simple, clean, spacious and great location near the centre of York that we could drive straight into and park at. Just what we needed for a quick family visit.

Wonderful Place To Stay

The property was a 15 minute walk from York City Centre so ideally located for exploring York. Instructions for checking in and out were simple so no stress there.The property itself was beautifully clean and nicely furnished. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and we all slept well.We had everything we needed for our stay including cleaning products, hand soap and shower gel so no need to buy whole bottles of stuff just for a few nights.The bread, butter, milk and Prosecco in the fridge were much appreciated as were the grocery staples - tea, coffee and condiments. We didn't cook whilst there but there was everything you could need should you wish to do so.All of our group agreed that we would return should we be visiting York again either together or with our respective families.

Lovely house in York

This is a wonderful property to stay in while visiting York. Clean, quiet and with everything we needed for a family of four.
