We felt the location was great and the property was clean. Note - all the bedrooms are on the second and third floors and there is one at the top of the stairway with a big step down. The steps are steep.
Excellent location, property consistent with listing
House was in a nice neighborhood that had very convenient walking access to train station, restaurants and shopping. Property management company provided excellent communication throughout our stay and was largely able to address a few issues we experienced upon checking in.
Excellent location, has everything needed for a short or long stay (ours was nearly 2 weeks). Only thing I’d recommend is providing a stair gate for small children as there are 2 very steep staircases (Victorian house!). Everything else was super comfortable and the communication was great from start to finish. Will visit again when in Kingston!

DANGEROUS Staircases! Booked the 4 bedroom property in Gibbons Road, Kingston over 12 weeks in advance for 4 nights. I receive a call at 1pm on the day of check in saying that the hob is not working, that they will send someone around to look at the hob the next day. The hob was not fixed the entire stay despite multiple calls where someone said it would be and emails following it up. This is a very poor customer service experience. The house is arranged over 3 floors - living, dining and kitchen on the ground floor. The family bathroom and 2 bedrooms on the first floor which you access climbing a VERY steep, dangerous staircase with stairs that are only 20cm depth (see photos) – so not a lot of room for your foot – it feels like you are climbing a ladder! It is not safe climbing such narrow and steep stairs with your suitcases and every time you need the bathroom. The second floor of the house has 2 bedrooms – 1 has an ensuite bathroom. This floor is also accessed via stairs that in a circle and does not have a handrail which is UNSAFE. This accommodation was booked for 3 elderly family members that had flown from overseas for our wedding. The fitter 70 yo could manage the DANGEROUS and steep stairs to the first floor, but my 2 x 80year old relatives could not and I needed to find last minute accommodation for them. I reported the issue of the stairs to the hosts and they replied saying they did not promise the accommodation would be suitable for people with mobility issu

A Charming Vrbo but difficulty in reaching management due to intermediaries
Spacious VRBO that was a short walk from a grocery store and train station. Well stocked with towels, paper supplies. Was promised Netflix but it ended prematurely and took days before a new account was opened. Some items were not cleaned enough to our liking such as the kettle.

This feedback comes from a place of trying to make this better for the next person. I will start off by saying the size of the property for 5 people is good. The location is about a 10-12 min walk to the station and there is a grocery store at the end of the street which makes shopping easy. Parking is good but it’s a small drive. So a big car is a little tight. Now to the feedback that I feel needs to be shared and is a super easy fix. We were allowed to check in at 3pm. It took me 3 phone calls and multiple text message to eventually get check in instructions at 2:30pm. that was a little stressful. 1:It says washer and dryer. But in fact there is not a dryer. It’s a clothes drying rack. 2: There were no washing machine pods nor dishwasher pods. This is a super easy and cheap thing to have in the house. We had to purchase both and left for the next guest. 3: there are zero condiments in the house. Not even a salt and pepper. That should also be easy. 4: no paper towels or napkins. Had to purchase those as well. 5: living room tv would not turn or. Turns out batteries in the control were dead. I had to buy more. 6: PSA stairs are really steep. 7: there was no had soap in the upstairs bathroom. 8; towels were lacking. 5 of us and 6 towels for the 5 days. Not to mention no hand towels. Could do with a few more. 9:In the summer the heat rises. Top floor was really hot. Probably could do with a couple of fans. 10: Beds are not the most comfortable.
