The view was wonderful. The pool and the outside space were excellent. The final 600 metres to the property is a poor road/track and there are a few steep unprotected drops down the hillside. Just to bare in mind if you are a nervous driver! We would advise taking a few dishwasher tablets as well as some washing machine capsules/ soap powder. Overall we had a lovely holiday. Absolutely amazing Villa with views to die for.... fantastic place. The silence and sky at night are incredible. We had a trouble with the pool which was sorted immediately after an email to the owners. The road and access into property is tight and hairy the first time. The location fantastic, and easy to get to Frigiliana and Grenada. The property has air conditioning in the lounge and that's it. It is also on a timer. It could do with air-conditioning in the bedrooms (or at least fans). I would highly recommend this property to anyone

The property and pool is stunning. Cannot fault the anesthetics at all, the view and furnishings etc are amazing. As others have said the drive from Torrox is pretty hairy and the dirt track leading to the villa takes courage! Although we did get used to it Unfortunately our stay was hugely impacted through lack of sleep. The "Aircon" in the lounge is completely ineffective for the open plan space and turns off after 2 hours. The bedrooms were unbearable at night despite keeping blinds drawn all day they reached 30 degrees at night! and we were hugely disappointed that fans were not provided, a bit of moving air would have helped. You are asked not to put toilet paper in the toilet, however, you are only provided with tiny pedal bins with one bag in each. Given the drive to a supermarket is fairly arduous it was not appreciated that after waiting until 4pm to check in we would have to return to a shop to purchase items that I feel should have been provided given one doesn't generally expect to store soiled toilet tissue in their luxury villa. There is no outside bin meaning soiled toilet tissue were stored in bin bags and then transported in your vehicle to the nearest bins (4kms away). On first impressions we were delighted, however, we would not return due to the sleeping situation. Fans should be provided as standard as should appropriate bins for unsanitary waste.

First impressions of the villa were impressive, the views are spectacular, we were very disappointed to only one bath towel each to last us 11 nights , 1x coffee each , 1 x dishwasher tablet , no T. Towels it just spelt cost cutting to me and gave the wrong impression, the place is looking a bit tired now, and there is only one air conditioner in the lounge the bedrooms do not have any and it was extremely uncomfortable at times, but the most annoying thing and it ruined how so called peaceful retreat was that at approximately 11-12 pm every single night the neighbours dogs wake up and bark all night long, we had hardly any sleep at all, in fact on the Thursday with four days remaining of our trip we decided to book a lovely hotel next to the beach costing another 700 euros but to sleep in peace it was worth every penny, also you did have to drive everywhere and therefore I could not have a drink, we drove to the nearest smart pueblo of Frigiliana but it takes 25-30 minutes every time you go out there is nothing nearby that we could find and no information in the villa to give us an ideas of what to do or where to go, sometimes a little local knowledge helps visitors immensely.Also a short part of the drive to Villa is a mountain track a single road with enormous drop down the mountain which my wife really did not enjoy the experience of, all in all I never complain about anything I just don’t ever go back, so this is my first ever feedback but feel it is necessary.

Wunderschön. Der Ausblick ist ein Traum, das Haus ist toll und der Pool großartig. Man muss sich auf den etwas steilen Weg bei der Anfahrt gefasst machen aber sonst ist alles super.

We were really pleasantly surprised. Villa Cortijo El Amigo is located in a very peaceful area and had more than everything we needed! The outside space was amazing and we liked that there were a BBQ and an outside dining area. We spent most of our time around the pool: swimming and sunbathing. We could have stayed for so much longer, even never left. Definitely recommend it!

What a fab time, we had a perfect villa and even more perfect views. Villa Cortijo El Amigo was perfect with absolutely no issues. The outside and pool area were magnificent. The nearest beach (Playa del Penoncillo), is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for long walks, swimming, and snorkeling. We also liked their local wines and you need to try them while you are there. A nice holiday overall. We will be returning.

We also enjoyed wonderful family reunion meals around the pool while watching the amazing sunsets reflecting off the mountains behind. The kids loved the pool and we felt very safe in the privacy that offers this property. This was the perfect villa for us and we loved it so much. We had a pleasant stay.
