Region: Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Town: The poet Dylan Thomas is famously associated with the town of Laugharne, which boasts a grand castle perched on a low ridge overlooking the expansive Taf River Estuary. A trip to his Boat House and the writing shed, where he produced the majority of his works, is a great experience. Beautiful walks in and around the castle can be followed by cream teas in adorable little tea restaurants, a drink at the neighbourhood pub, or shopping in the gift stores and mini market. These treks offer spectacular views of the estuary. Many land speed records have been infamously broken on the seven-mile stretch of gorgeous, flat sand at Pendine, a nearby sandy beach. A little further away are the seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot. This is the ideal location for the entire family, at any time of the year, with fantastic walks in all directions, fun days out at castles, mills, and craft centres abounding.
