Y-Cartws offers the ideal base however way you wish to spend your time exploring the coast and countryside of beautiful West Wales. We are both family and pet friendly. It is a very peaceful location with wonderful views across acres of lush green grass. Y Cartws is located in a great spot for star gazing with it's wonderful dark sky's at night weather permitting of course! We are happy to let you fly your drone from our fields. During the month of March and April we have the busy time of Lambing our visitors are welcome to have a look at what's going on or give us a hand with the feeding of molly lambs if we have any! The cottage itself has a large farmhouse kitchen, a laundry room and a living room on the ground floor. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin with the option of a cot and a put up single) and a shower room, Towels are also provided. It has oil central heating throughout. WI -FI is available through out the cottage password given at arrival, we are on EE Mobile phone's and have signal on the farm. We also provide a stair gate, cot and high chair for our younger guests. Children are welcome to play in the fields as long as there are no sheep in them at the time of your stay. Plenty of parking space is available. There is a bench and table just outside the cottage, also there is a private sitting area for our guests just to the side of the cottage through to a wildflower garden overlooking the fields, relax and unwind with a beautiful view.

About the host
Hosted by Eirlys Williams

Hello, my name is Eirlys Williams. Paul (My husband)'s family have lived and farmed here at Maesyfelin for generations, we are the 7th here. We decided to convert Y Cartws about 19 years ago, it used to be a stable and cart-house. It has been a holiday cottage now for 18 years. I do all the job's that go with letting a holiday cottage, cleaning, advertising, paperwork, home cooking ect... We are fluent Welsh speakers, so we could give you a few lessons! Have very good knowledge of the area as we have both lived here all our lives. Also we are both always happy to help our guests with anything we possibly can.
Why they chose this property
2006 is the year we converted the out building.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is in a very peaceful area. Hear the birdsong during the day, see the red kites fly above around the farm area. Hear the owls call in the evening and if it's a clear night it's the perfect place for star gazing with its spectacular dark sky.
It is central to the three counties of Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire, so there's ample choice of beautiful beaches whichever direction you decide to go. There is a shop and garage just a mile up the road. Our nearest small town is Narberth which has plenty of little boutique style shops, coffee shops, restaurants and much much more. We also have Cardigan Market Town which is North from the cottage, ranked third in Time Out's 15 places to visit in 2023, Cardigan has everything: ancient history, modern comforts, beautiful landscapes, and the sea just in reach, take a boat trip on the River Teifi, visit Cardigan Castle and much much more,
