Nestled on a peaceful street, our cozy retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. On the ground floor you'll find a double bedroom ideal for couples or solo travelers seeking a tranquil night's sleep. Adjacent is a single bedroom. A shower is also available for your convenience along with a well sized kitchen. Venture to another level, discover another single bedroom along with a second shower. A cozy living room compliments this level. Laundry facilities are also included. Cospicua (Bormla) is one of the so called 3 cities together with Vittoriosa (Birgu) and Senglea (Isla). It is located between the two. All three cities boast beautiful architecture and overlooking the mighty bastions of the capital Valletta.

Vittoriosa or as we call it in Maltese, Birgu, is a very old locality with its origins reaching back to medieval times. Prior to the establishment of Valletta as capital and main city of Malta, military powers that wanted to rule the Maltese islands would need to obtain control of Vittoriosa due to its significant position in the Grand Harbour.

This city has a lovely water fronts which hosts as a berth for luxury yachts. Birgu waterfront offers a numerous selection of great restaurants, some of which rank very high on the island.

Cospicua also offers a ferry shuttle service which runs every 30 mins to the a beautiful capital city, Valletta. Each trip costs €2,80 per person and yes, that also includes the return. Each trip takes approx 15 minutes by ferry.

Smoking is STRICTLY PROHIBITED inside this property. This house is comprised of 2 Levels.

On ground floor level you will find a kitchen / living with built in kitchen appliances (fridge, freezer, microwave and a dishwasher) and a smart TV. All original features were retained in this room having the traditional colourful floorggg cement tiles and restored bare stone with some modern lighting. The place is colourfully decorated with some art work by Mark Mallia who is a self-taught artist who works with abstract and portrait paintings on a variety of mixed media and ceramic sculptures. Born in 1965, Mark has worked in Malta, Monaco, UK and the United States.

Two bedrooms (a double bedroom, and another single one) and a shower and toilet are also found on this level.

On the other level one finds another single bedroom, a small storage tuck out, another shower and toilet as well as a another smart TV in a leisure area with a sofa, which can be transformed into another double bed!

Complementing this level is a small yard with a washing machine and a drier as well.

Excellent host
Matthew has been an excellent host from beginning to end. Even before booking and before arrival he would answer any questions and assist with any queries. He also had wonderful suggestions on beaches, restaurants etc- taking a families need in consideration - also such as providing cot and high chair for our younger one. We had a good time- so THANK YOU for everything.

Spacious convenient property in a period dwelling
Quiet street but centrally situated for getting the ferry to valletta. Very spacious with 2 bedrooms and shower rooms so perfect for friends. Old property with character features. Host was very friendly and extremely helpful - even walked us to the ferry stop and pointed out the food shops! Answered any queries very promptly. Would recommend for mobile adults (steps downstairs).

Off the Beaten Path Just Enough
We loved our stay at Matt’s apartment in Bormla/Cospicua, one of the 3 cities just south of Valetta. Matt welcomed us and gave us a walking tour of the neighborhood, including how and where to catch the ferry across the bay, where to buy groceries and where to find the best pastizzia for breakfast. We have never stayed in a VRBO that has so many electrical outlets, plus there was strong internet on both levels. (Be sure to bring a British adapter for your electronics.). The showers were great, with ample hot water. (Note for Americans: as is not unusual in Malta, there is no hot water in the kitchen sink.). We were not familiar with an induction stovetop, but easily found instructions on line. Did we forget to mention that Matt is awesome? Here’s why: 1) he had the foresight to provide a booklet with places to see and things to do in our neighborhood (no ferry needed!); 2) he was always available to quickly respond to any questions we had; 3) he made taxi arrangements for us from the airport to the apartment and back to the airport; 4) one of us saw something she really wanted, and he searched and found it for her! This man goes above and beyond all expectations! We loved coming “home” every evening, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists and university students of downtown Valetta. This apartment is not in the modern tourist area, but in a traditional Maltese neighborhood, with neighborhood traffic, sounds and activity. It was safe for walking in the early morning (to watch the sunrise) and in the evenings. If you’re planning on a trip of 2 or 3 days, you’ll be sorry it’s so short. We were there for 10 days and could have used another week - all based there in Matt’s apartment.
