NEWLY ADDED SAUNA TO CHATEAU MERLOT! This spacious vacation home is perfect for several families or large groups offering 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main level and 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the lower level. The lower level has a spacious family room with a gas fireplace and another full kitchen area. The unit has central air and an outdoor fire pit area. Chateau Merlot is located 4 blocks from the main ski lodge. A 3 night minimum stay is required. Pets are not allowed.
The main level is breathtaking with floor to ceiling windows and an open concept kitchen, dining and living room area, 3 bedrooms & 2 full size bathrooms. The living room has a gorgeous wood burning brick fireplace, comfy seating and set of patio doors that open up to the spacious wrap-around deck with a gas burning grill and patio set. The lower level also has a new sauna, a washer and dryer, foosball table, 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom & a large mudroom off the living area The mudroom is perfect for taking off all that ski/snowboard gear. WIFI is available throughout the home. Cable TV is provided.

Family Ski Trip

We came to the UP to ski but unfortunately there was very little snow on the ski hills. But no worries there was plenty to do between exploring the many waterfalls just down the road to gathering around the fireplace at the Chateau to play games and watch movies. The house has so much space that our group of 12 was never crowded. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses and cookware. But the amount of cookware & bowls could be down sized and better organized. The only issues we encountered were the extra plates we grabbed from the downstairs kitchen were dirty and we couldn’t get the tv to work beyond spectrum channels. Better Instructions would be helpful. We ended up just casting to use the apps off an iPhone to watch movies. We were pleasantly surprised by the Christmas tree & great decorations!! Loved our time here! We will be back! P.S the laminated guide for the area was fantastic!
