Come find your bliss in this fully equipped condo inside of Tao Inspired Living & Golf Residences. This condo is perfect for couples or families that are looking for a relaxing and private stay in the beautiful Riviera Maya. Renters also have the option of purchasing day or night passes at one of the four wonderful resorts inside of Tulum County Club. Imagine yourself exploring nearby cenotes and ruins or enjoying the nightlife of Playa del Carmen or Tulum (both about 15-20 minutes away).

The open concept fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar is equipped with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and microwave. While preparing meals, you can entertain guests at the kitchen table or perhaps the living room with sofa. While relaxing in the living room, peer through the sliding glass doors to the terrace surrounded by the lush spacious garden. The garden furnishings of the terrace carries forward the tranquility of the surrounding tropical area.

The condo is fully furnished and equipped with linens, towels kitchen appliances (coffee maker, rice maker, toaster, french press, coffee bean grinder and blender) and a laundry room with washer and dryer ready for your use.

Within the community of TAO Inspired Living, you can take advantage of the complimentary yoga classes, a gym, the lap pools and the infinity pool offering a place where guests gather. If you choose to ($), the TAO Wellness Center located on site offers such things as Spa packages and Body Boot Camps, or perhaps take in a round of golf at the Riviera Maya Golf Course (please ask for current price list).

Free wifi access is available in this condo.

You can enjoy the surrounding all inclusive resorts with a day pass purchased at the golf club near the main entrance to Bahia. There is also a tram that comes by the entrance of Tao hourly and takes guests to the new Kay Beach Club where you will find a wonderful menu of food and drinks to enjoy the ocean.

To fully enjoy the Mayan Riviera and all of its cultural sites, beaches, and local venues a car rental is highly recommended. There is complimentary parking at your condo.

Here are some things you need to know before you go
• It is better to rent a car. You will want to be able to stock up at the grocery store to cook in the fully equipped kitchen and to go and see many local attractions and restaurants

Guests have access to the entire condo as well as two pools in the complex. There is also the Tao Wellness Center that offers a gym with yoga, salsa and zumba classes scheduled throughout the week. Because of covid these classes are currently limited so please check with me if you have an interest and I will confirm classes and times. There is a lap pool as well. The condo is located inside of the Bahia Principe Resort and as a guest you have discounted day pass access to any 4 of the resorts.

The TAO community is in the heart of the beautiful Riviera Maya close to the town of AKUMAL. It is inside of Bahia Principe which has 4 beautiful all inclusive resorts. We are 55 miles from Cancun Airport, 28 miles from Playa Del Carmen and 16 miles from the eco chic bohemian town of Tulum. Both Playa and Tulum have world class restaurants and beaches. If you want to stay off the grid, Akumal is famous for its turtles and snorkeling. Akumal also has an assortment of excellent restaurants. There are many things to see close to the condo, ie. cenotes (natural swimming holes), Mayan entertainment parks (Xcaret and Xelha) and of course beautiful beaches. The condo is adjacent to a beautiful Robert Trent Jones 18 hole golf course.

There is a tram that can take you to the beach to the new Kay club which serves delicious food and great drinks! It runs hourly and picks guests up at the entrance to Tao (in front of the security guard building). Taxi cabs are available and there is a bus that runs up and down the highway...its called the Colectivo...and is very inexpensive. We always recommend to rent a car. There are so many things to see in the area!

The condo has a fully equipped kitchen but if you want to eat out there are many options. You can have unlimited drinks and food when you purchase a day pass at one of the resorts inside of Bahia Principe. Akumal (5 km away) has many places to eat that are very good. Chemuyil (pretty little town on the way to Tulum) has a few and Tulum has many world class restaurants.

Very nice place, lots of space and clean. Teresa is very helpful, good restaurants around and activities. You definitely need a car to get around and it’s not on the beach. It’s hard to find at first but it’s worth it. Overall a great place to stay for peace and quiet.

First Condo Rental in Mexico

I was very happy with the condo it was clean up to date and very nice. The neighbors were helpful and knowledgeable of the area restaurants and stores. There was a large well maintained pool and the property was very nice as well. It was located in a gated community inside of the gated Tulum Country Club property.

Teresa’s condo was perfect for 2 couples. The location was ideal for golf and yoga. Air con worked well as did all other appliances. There were lots of beach towels and beach umbrella. Teresa was very responsive with respect to answering questions very quickly. A car is recommended as this property is approx 20 min from supermarkets. Will be back!

Incredible Place for Your Next Vacation

Teresa's place is amazing. This 2 bedroom apartment has everything a family needs for an exceptionally comfortable stay! Just some of the perks that we enjoyed include: both bedrooms have an ensuite with tiled showers; the kitchen is fully stocked to prepare any meals you wish and even has some basics such as cooking oil and spices; there are loads of towels including many beach towels; there are beach amenities such as umbrellas, folding chairs, and buckets for the kids to make sandcastles:-); the air conditioning keeps all areas of the home cool and fans help circulate the air quietly; the apartment is quiet at night and each morning you could open sliding doors to allow the sun and birdsong to filter in; both pools are super close; the neighbours are very friendly; the support staff are amazing and responsive to any need that arises; Teresa was quick to answer any questions we had and even had a digital "Welcome Book" to help orient us to our new home away from home and offer advice on beaches to visit and restaurants to sample, plus more! Our family have stayed at many rental properties across many countries and we couldn't recommend Teresa's apartment more! We wish we could have stayed longer and will try to book Teresa's home again the next time we visit Mexico.

Lovely stay!

We had a lovely stay. The description was spot on. Teresa had a very comprehensive document/handbook that we received beforehand that helped us in planning and executing the trip seamlessly (reading the VRBO reviews were helpful too). Renting a car was a must (which was recommended in Teresa's handbook). A few other things to note: 1. There is no food or drink that you can purchase at the beach, so either eat before, purchase a day pass for the buffets ($60 and the food did not look very appetizing), or bring snacks/drinks with you. Again, a car is a must. 2. Pools are not heated. I used the lap pools daily, but plan to be chilled. Still worthwhile--there are two that are 25 meters, great if you are a lap swimmer (fyi 64 laps = 1 mile). 3. Had great meals in Tulum and Playa. Great breakfast/lunches at Turtle Bay in Akumal. 4. We arrived at night, so finding the MEI building in TAO was difficult because there is not signage outside of this particular building. It is located between LAO and HIRA. 5. Purchase big jugs of water on the way to Teresa's place, to have on hand to drink, make coffee, etc. 6. The rental car companies do not accept any insurance not purchased through them, so don't get it through Orbitz, etc. Even if you have it, they will still require you to purchase theirs. 7. My family did the yoga and enjoyed it. Basic, easy to follow classes in a very nice studio. Terese had one yoga mat (we brought 2 others with us) which was helpful. 8. One minor downfall is that the toilets have low water pressure as well as the showers. I showered at the yoga center which had huge, high pressure, warm/hot showers (the showers in Teresas were not consistently warm/hot) 9. Great security throughout the resort. I felt very safe running by myself. 10. Teresa had 5 beach towels in the condo--greatly appreciated and easier to use than to deal with the hassle of getting towels from some location that is listed in the handbook (you have to get them at some office which we never were able to locate, despite looking--it might have been in the golf center but there was always a line). Enjoy your stay!

Gorgeous Condo in beautiful and safe community!

It was truly a great stay, so happy Teresa entrusted my daughter and I with her gorgeous space for our 17 day stay. Both bedrooms we're spacious and the entire unite beautifully decorated with playful artwork we enjoyed. Teresa was extremely helpful and has an awesome team that was attentive when needed but never invasive. You'll find everything needed in the condo, but this is a home away from home so be sure to review the digital guide before you arrive and the hard copy provided on-site. Teresa shares lots of gems to truly help you enjoy your time there. The community has very pleasant neighbors (local and from abroad) and it is indeed quiet. Listen to Teresa's recommendations! You will benefit from renting a car at some point but my daughter (10 years) and I did take the colectivo multiple times (even though our Spanish isn't strong). This did involve walking a minimum 15 to 20 minutes from the condo just to get to the main neighboring hwy. The Taxi service fees in this area of the Riviera Maya were Higher than Mexico's norm elsewhere - being fluent in Spanish will go a long way when you negotiate before getting in lol. The location was ideal for us, but it is slower paced in the TAO community with neighbors who don't have young children. There are so many things to do in the surrounding area, very easy to get to Tulum/Puerto Aventuras/Akumal Bay. I didn't feel unsafe traveling as a single Mom. I worked remotely and the internet was really great surprisingly. Will visit again sooner than later!

Such a tranquil and relaxing stay at Teresa's place in Akumal. We enjoyed every minute there. Nicely appointed, very clean and excellent service and communication. Nestled in the TAO community, this good sized apartment was a home away from home. The kitchen had everything we needed. We did not regret making the decision to rent this place as opposed to a beach front property. The local trolley runs every 45 minutes to the beach - so convenient. We would not hesitate to rent from Teresa again should we return!

Nice Quiet Comfortable Condo

The condo complex is part of Bahía Príncipe but the condos was protected by very lush jungle, so it seemed isolated. We still had easy access to high quality places. For dinner I highly recommend Jungle Fish near the Tao Ocean Villas. Great seafood and service. Condo was clean with good communication with the on-site manager. Also would like to mention helpfulness of security guards. We had some difficulty accessing condo key when we arrived late at night. They helped us through that issue.

Great condo and location!

Great home base for exploring the Riviera Maya. It's close to the ecoparks, cenotes, beaches, Akumal, and Tulum. Xpu-ha was our favorite beach and not far. We also made the drive to Chichen Itza. El departamento está en excelentes condiciones, en un complejo nuevo y muy bonito. Teresa es una persona muy atenta y la comunicación con ella es muy oportuna. Manuel, el administrador, es también muy atento y siempre está dispuesto a ayudar. Lo recomiendo ampliamente pues te da mucha versatilidad ya que puedes usar además de las instalaciones del propio condominio, instalaciones del desarrollo Bahía Príncipe que incluyen playa.

Very nice condo and property!

We had a very nice vacation at Teresa's condo in Akumal. Plenty of room and a nice location. As mentioned in another review it took us a little while to learn the lay of the land . Not having cell phone service made it a little challenging at times. The wifi at the Condi was very reliable though. The staff at the complex were very friendly. The condo had everything we needed to make us feel at home. Teresa was very responsive to any questions we had. We rented a car for the first time here. We were glad we did but be prepared for a long wait at the rental site. We had some really fun adventures. Our favorites were visiting the Coba Mayan ruins, our cave tour at Aktun Chen and Cenotes Azul. The beach at Akumal was very nice too. Much better than the one at the Grand Principe Resort. The pools at Tao were very nice too. We would highly recommend staying at Teresa's for a great vacation!

This was exactly what my family and I were looking for! From the get go, Teresa was super responsive, answering all my questions. The condo is clean, spacious and everything worked great. It's located within an enormous complex called Bahia Principe. Bahia Principe has 4 all-inclusive hotels, plus a golf course, tennis courts, private homes and other smaller developments. Teresa's condo is located in one of those smaller developments, call TAO. As a renter we had access to TAO's pools, the gym (wellness center), yoga classes, massage offerings, and the TAO cafe. The yoga was great, the massage by Ana was amazing-- so great I had two sessions. The tennis is free to play, and only $30 for a lesson. That's so inexpensive! The tennis is a ten minute drive from TAO, and located in the midst of the all inclusive hotels. The hotels are across the highway, along the beach. I do not care for these enormous facilities, but if you want to swim in an enormous pool you can for free. and i think you can go to some of their evening shows/ performances for free. And if you want to pay for a meal plan at an all inclusive you can, but we chose not to. TAO also has it's own private beach and beach club with cafe. That's about a 15 minute drive. It's a little rocky, but very picturesque with yet another pool and very private. Getting the lay of the land was a little tricky, but once you get it, it's pretty easy. the grounds throughout bahia principe are very well maintained. there are sidewalks throughout which are great for running, pushing a stroller, letting a kid scooter, etc. We felt very safe and secure. A lot of the folks there live there full time or spend the winter there and are very friendly. You really must rent a car. Parking is included, and you can park right in front of Teresa's condo. We ate several amazing meals in tulum. and went once to playa del carmen. Tulum is about 25 minutes away, but a straight shot south. And playa del carmen about 35 minutes north. We preferred Tulum which is much more laid back. Akumal, the nearby beach area is charming-- check out la cueba de pescador for fresh fish. the turtle bay cafe is great for a wide variety of offerings. both are child friendly and these are among the closest restaurants to TAO-- about a 15 minute drive. Teresa has an on-site property manager named manuel who is helpful and responsive as well. This was my first vrbo rental and it was great!

Beautiful place! Friendly neighbors!

We loved staying at Teresa’s condo at the Tao residential! The place was beautiful with super comfy beds and pillows. Everything was supplied at the condo which made it easy to cook all meals if you wanted. Close to the pool only a three minute walk. The Tao wellness centre had lap pools and a great gym to workout in. The Tao is located on the grounds of the Grand Pricipe Resort and we travelled to all the resorts which was so great! The Coba beach resort was great for the kids with a small waterpark and huge pools. My husband also loved playing golf on the nearby course, it was only $60 US in the afternoon. A great deal and a difficult course which made it challenging for him! The Tao is located just minutes from Akumal which is a great little town to have some delicious food. Turtle Bay was our favorite restaurant and we visited three times in our two week stay! We also loved La Palapa which is in a little town just south of the Tao condos. The best fish tacos I’ve ever had! My husband had lobster both times we went there and our meals were less than $80 US for all 4 of us with drinks!! Teresa was super helpful and informative and so was her building manager Manuel. If you had any questions they would answer really quickly. Thanks again for having us stay!! We will definitely be back :)

10 days of pure relaxation in Akumal.

We had an amazing 10 days in TAO and we loved Teresa´s condo! It was exactly as described in the listing. The condo is located in a very quiet residential area, no annoying noise which was perfect for us as we love to be in nature and hear the songbirds sign their songs. The condo itself has 2 large bedrooms with on suite bathrooms, large living area and dining area, kitchen a terrace. We spent lots of time out on the patio reading relaxing. I would suggest renting a car as it makes things easier. The condo is located just 5 minutes drive from Akumal Beach (which is just pure paradise!). We also visited Bacalar, Xel Ha and Cozumel.. Manuel was super accommodating and had everything we needed when we got there and we saw him several times throughout our vacation. He gave us lots of information on things to do and see on the Riviera Maya... we are more interested in getting on the beaten track and Manuel gave us lots of things to do! Great thing about renting here is that we have access to the hotels at the 5* Bahia Resorts - added bonus, and also we visited the newly built TAO Beach Club, its only for TAO owners and renters, we spent half a day there relaxing by the pool and ocean. This really is great place to stay for a few days for some r&r! We have already booked to come back again at the same condo.... See you in October!

I recently retired after a 40 year career as a Financial Advisor. I live in Texas with my husband and 2 dogs. I dreamed of having a place in Mexico for about 20 years and we investigated many resort and colonial locations before deciding on Tao. I can say that my dream came true. Known for its physical beauty and close to both Playa del Carmen and Tulum, this area has great infrastructure and so many things to do and see. it was the perfect decision.

Why they chose this property

Peaceful setting with an abundance of things to do and see close by. The condo is 25 minutes south of Playa del Carmen and 15 minutes north of Tulum. When i first went down the beach road in Tulum (lots of restaurants and shops) that sealed it for me. Eco chic with yoga and spa like amenities, world renown restaurants and bars, its a must see. The town of Akumal is close by with great restaurants and bars and there are cenotes and hidden beaches in abundance. Lots to do and see...or just chill at the condo if relaxation is what you are looking for.

What makes this property unique

We are close to beach and the jungle! I think what really drew me to this property is that it was inside of a larger complex so if we wanted an all inclusive experience we could have it or if we just wanted privacy and laid back relaxation we had that as well. Best of both worlds!
