Charming and beautiful
We really loved our time here and will gladly visit again. The cottage is small, but well equipped and very cosy. It is in such a magical location! A mountain river runs nearby and the sound of running water at night is very soothing. I especially appreciated the comfortable beds, cotton sheets and generous pillows - we all slept so well here. Beautiful hikes begin on the same road at either side of the valley, and as you climb the hills, incredible vistas open up of mountains, sea and sky. The local village has a lovely playground for kids, and a nice pub. If you want to venture beyond your doorstep you have the charming town of Conwy 10 mins away, and all the hikes of Snowdonia. We especially enjoyed visiting Aber Falls, a magnificent waterfall with easy access for families, pushchairs etc. The cottage has a wood-burning stove, for those inevitable rainy days. We initially struggled to light it but Cerys the owner was very responsive and sent someone over to check it and a few other small things straight away. All in all, a wonderful place to stay.
