Frustrating holiday

We are not usually guests who write unsolicited reviews, are quickly satisfied and not particularly demanding, but here it has to be: Unfortunately, it was not possible to determine at the time of booking to which apartment the booking refers. Despite our explicit wish we did not get the apartment on the upper floor - without information - but the very dark apartment in the basement, which is located at the busy + noisy street. If you need quiet, this apartment is not suitable. Especially if you do not want to be woken up by a chainsaw in the morning. The owner thought it would make sense for his gardeners to come with her at 7:30 am. If one is asked, the neighbours should be responsible first, then one would not have his own gardeners under control, This is not particularly service- and holiday-oriented.

Super.....alleen beetje last van drukke weg naast het huisje

Ik was eerder op zoek naar een Nederlandse recensie, maar na gesprek met de beheerster blijkt dat er maar weinig Nederlanders dit huisje boeken. Vond het een beetje vreemd dat we bij de lokale pomp ((ENI) ons zouden treffen, waarnaar ze ons naar het huisje begeleidde. maar goed,alles ok en een super vriendelijke beheerster die goed Engels spreekt. Maar wat een super fijn huisje is dit, erg genoten. Alles heel netjes, schoon en verzorgd en een super fijn zwembad. Wij zaten in appartement Gemma, dat is het 4-persoons appartement aan de straatzijde. Hier heb je wel last van... M.n. Rond spitstijden... Je kunt snachts niet de ramen open doen, om te luchten/af te koelen want dan word je wel wakker van auto's die zo nu en dan langs razen. Ik had van de beheerder begrepen dat daarom volgend jaar er een airco geplaatst wordt. Wij hebben geen airco gemist, want het huisje blijft heerlijk koel. Kortom fijn huisje, beetje last van het verkeer ...dat is eigenlijk het enige.

Excellent.

We stayed in the Gemma apt on the ground floor. This 2 bedroom apt was perfect for us with a teenage daughter. Cinzia met us in the local town to bring us to the apt and she was extremely helpful from the start of the booking to the day we left. The Apt was clean and tidy and due to heavy stone walls cool during the hottest part of the days. The shared pool was just the right size. A car is essential but the location is perfect for visiting Lucca, local beaches, Florence and Pisa( We took the train there, but easy to park in Lucca train station). Only downsides were the shower door isn't a great seal and the neighbour across the road cutting timber with a chainsaw most mornings from 8am. Apart from that we had a great time
