Great cottage with everything you need to make your stay complete.

Right sized and cozy. All the appliances you need for a home away from home. Beautiful view from bedroom window. Great village with cafe, store, pubs and country walks. Location for Cotswolds excellent.

Happy Times

Our stay was very enjoyable and really comfortable. Great location! My only criticism would be the late check in and early check out.

Perfect cottage in a beautiful location

We have just spent three nights at this cottage and would happily have stayed longer. It is a traditional cottage on a quiet street with fabulous views out over the countryside from the lovely back garden. The accommodation is very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with every home comfort you can imagine. The owners clearly care passionately about their guests enjoyment and provide clear notes to help you enjoy your stay. The lounge is cosy and comfortable and the gorgeous bedrooms are so quiet at night. This is probably the most comfortable cottage we have stayed in where you instantly feel relaxed and at home. The village has a Co-op quirkily located in a typical Cotswold style old building. The local pub is wonderful, very friendly with really great food and drink and is only a five minute walk. There is also a lovely cafe on the high street which does great food as well. If you want to go for a country walk there is access to the riverside within 5 minutes as well with a choice of footpaths to explore.

Lovely well equipped Cotswold cottage.

Just returned from a stay at Lily bee Cottage. Well positioned comfortable place to stay. Very well equipped and traditionally furnished. Can easily accommodate 3 people. Within easy reach of Cotswolds attractions. Good places to eat out within Sherston. Would certainly make a return visit

Relaxing

Spending ten days in Lilly Bee Cottage, we had the chance to really live in the place. We found what we expected according the description and felt comfortable in kitchen and garden. Bedrooms were large and bright. We really relaxed by cruising through the Cotswolds and hiking near Sherston. Neighborhood is quiet and inviting, Sherston offers more than other villages of this size (inn, cafés, super market).

Fabulous Cottage, would definitely recommend

The cottage was beautifully decorated, it has everything you need. Lovely bed linen and comfortable bed, we had a wonderful break, the only issue was the cleanliness, lots of cobwebs and spiders in most corners and we found wood lice along the skirting boards. Given we couldn’t access the cottage until 5pm that’s long enough to thoroughly clean the place.

Last minute booking!

We managed to book the beautiful Lily Bee cottage last minute, and very grateful it was available! It was situated in the best location, between villages and towns which were under 30 minutes away. The village itself has much to offer between cafes, pubs and a CO-OP for essentials! The cottage has been decorated to a very high standard, it’s absolutely gorgeous! The garden is wonderful, we enjoyed soaking up the summer weather whilst the doggos enjoyed running around the enclosed garden (added bonus for us doggo lovers). Thank you for our stay!

Beautiful cottage

Very tastefully presented and loved the style. Beds very comfortable. I only gave a 4 for comfort as we did find the cottage extremely cold on arrival on the Friday and was 24hrs before we adjusted/warmed up. It may be the cottage had been empty for a few days before. I am originally from the Highlands and quite hardened to the cold. Otherwise absolutely recommend .

Perfect Cotswold Cottage!

We wanted a cosy Cotswold cottage for an easy half-term holiday and Lilly Bee Cottage delivered perfectly. The location just off Sherston high street is ideal, with easy parking and a short walk up the High Street to The Angle cafe, the local COOP and The RattleBone pub ... pretty much everything you'll need. There's a well-equipped playground a short walk away and lots of local walks. The house is gorgeous and ideal for a short break - our daughter loved the elegant French bed in the small bedroom and we enjoyed waking up to views over the fields from the back of the house. The kitchen is well-equipped (just lacking a potato masher) and the garden is lovely. Highly recommended!

A very pleasant week in Lilly Bee Cottage

Lily Bee Cottage is a very pleasant small cottage with character very close to the main street in Sherston. We loved the decor, lovely pieces of art and some quirky ornaments, someone with a good eye has decorated and added lovely stylish touches. Overall we found the facilities to be very good, the beds are comfy and the shower is great, if more than one showering at night or running a bath you will need to 'boost' the hot water, this is easily done and instructions are provided. We couldn't get the NEFF hob to work unfortunately and there were no instructions provided, I think it would be helpful to provide instruction manuals for appliances. The oven worked with no problems, as did the microwave and coffee machine. We did not need to use any other appliances as we only stayed for a week. The garden is a little sun trap with great views. It was quiet in the village during the night and parking was easily found every day in the High Street. We enjoyed the food in The Rattlebone Inn and the The Old Royal Ship in Luckington. Very handy to have a well stocked Co-op shop in the village. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cottage.

Charming and cosy

We had a perfect stay at Sherston. The cottage is very well equipt; apart from the bed in the master bedroom which we felt being a bit too soft, nothing to complain. Lilly, the owner was very supportive and helpful. A short help message regarding WiFi connectivity had been immediately responded and remotely solved. Thanks for that! In summary: This cottage offers everything you need to spend your holidays!

A lovely stay in Lily Bee

We really enjoyed our10 day stay in Lilly Bee cottage with our dog.A lovely cottage, great garden for the dog and the pretty village had everything we needed. Easy to access walks, a shop, pub and a cafe. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped, but not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as the stairs are steep and the principal bedroom has a large step.

Wonderful cottage, would highly recommend

Everything was great. The only constructive feedback I have is for a secure handrail the whole way down the stairs. But other than this it was perfect.

Lush interiors and comfy beds made our stay feel special

We have just returned from a weekend stay at Lilly Bee Cottage. On arrival we found a welcome hamper with milk, cakes, tea, coffee etc and helpful to have a supply of condiments. We had a housekeeping issue that was promptly sorted by the owner and housekeeping manager, which we really appreciated. It's a beautifully presented period property on a quiet street, parking was easy on the High Street which was just a few minutes walk away. Lush interiors and comfy beds made our stay feel special, our dog joined us and the garden is easily accessible off the kitchen, some parts of the garden walls are low but it wasn't a problem for us, the garden has a couple of nice sunny spots to sit at, so peaceful and the view from the large glazed window from the bedroom is lovely. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary we booked a table at Lola & Co in Tetbury which is dog friendly and even found a friendly local independent taxi to take us there and back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was lovely to be the guest for a change, owning our own award winning Puddle Duck Cottages in Shropshire, we appreciate the hard work it takes to offer a luxury dog friendly stay for guests, we were delighted with ours and shall book a return stay and have already recommended to friends, and family.

Cozy cottage in a beautiful village -- a great place to relax or base to explore the Cotswolds

We really loved the Lilly Bee! The cottage was very tastefully decorated, with many nice little touches, and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the main bedroom had a nice view of the back garden and picturesque landscape beyond it. We didn't use the garden much but it was a peaceful place to sit and watch the lavender grow. We enjoyed walks around Sherston, usually ending up in the local pub (The Rattlebones) which is a great spot to have a pint, meet locals and other tourists, and they do great pizza. In the village there is also a small co-op grocery shop which is surprisingly well stocked. The cottage kitchen has everything needed to prepare and have meals, which is also nice. Communications with the owner were very pleasant and timely. We didn't have any problems other than that we were sad to leave. We would definitely come back to the Lilly Bee when we are next in the Cotwsolds.

Stay at Lily Bee Cottage

This was our second time to stay at Lily Bee cottage and we were delighted to be back. The cottage is still as lovely as ever and luckily this time we had great weather so we were able to use the garden, lovely to sit on the patio with a glass of wine in the evening. The cottage is like a home from home and has everything you could want, were sad to leave but hope to return again in the future.

Last minute long weekend

We stayed at Lilly Bee over the May bank holiday weekend as a last minute decision. The booking process was simple and instructions on how to gain access etc were sent promptly. We had a small issue (caused by ourselves) for which I had to contact the owner. She responded immediately and was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a lovely weekend - the location is excellent for dog walking, with plenty of beautiful walks right on the doorstep, as well as being right near a local shop and pub. The garden was gorgeous, with beautiful views and we particularly enjoyed sitting on the decking area with a drink in the evening. The only slight disadvantage to us were that the garden walls were quite low, so we had to keep an eye on the dog to ensure he didn't jump it - just something to be aware of if you have a dog that might try to do this! Overall the cottage was spotless and well equipped. We didn't find the BBQ but then it does say this is available during the summer and it was only the start of May. This would have been nice to have though as we had lovely weather.

Great location, but a few thoughtful bits would make a big difference.

Great location, lovely village, neighbours friendly & sweet. A few thoughtful additions would make a big difference. Namely cushions for the outdoor furniture (quite uncomfortable without them) and a light by front door, it’s very difficult to see the numbers on the key safe when it’s gloomy or dark. We found the pillows very soft, but of course this might suit some folk, personal preference!

A writing retreat

The property is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, we were also blessed with great weather so we could enjoy the garden. The Rattlebone in was a friendly spot for the odd dinner and Michael’s the butcher in Malmesbury has excellent produce.

Rest & recovery at lovely Lillybee

I had a wonderful fortnight at Lillybee whilst I had radiotherapy in Bristol. The cottage is like home from home and helped me with my treatment. In the ideal location with amazing facilities, coffee shops, pub and shop all within 5 mins walk of the cottage, plus many lovely walks in the area. I also had a wonderful weekend exploring in the middle of treatment and it’s such a beautiful area with so much to do. I can’t recommend this cottage any more highly. Superb.

Lovely but……

Lovely location & comfortable. Just a few niggles. When we arrived the outside light wasn’t working so couldn’t see to use the key safe. Then no logs (or wood of any sort) for the log burner, ie no promised starter kit other than firefighters & matches (no use without wood) & welcome pack said the log burner was best form of heating for the house. Not a good start especially when arriving in the cold & dark after a long, tiring journey. The light over the cooker wasn’t working either. Some of the heating controls didn’t seem to work, or we weren’t using them correctly, in which case the instructions were not very clear - we thought we were following the guidance.
