The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
It would be really helpful if you could put the dishwasher on and put the rubbish in the bins please. The bin store is the green store near the shed. Thank you.

Beautiful cottage, very homely and comfortable in a lovely peaceful location. The wine and cake left for us was a lovely gesture. We would definitely stay again next time we are in the area.
The cottage is very well appointed, and the addition of a lovely leather chair was appreciated. Also worth noting is that there is a full sized fridge/freezer in the kitchen. The bathroom is indeed luxurious, the bed super comfy, and the underfloor heating a treat.
Absolutely stunning property and immaculate when we arrived. Communication throughout was great and check-in process was easy.Highly recommend staying here. We’ll definitely be back for another stay.
Such a beautiful cottage and welcoming host family! Quiet, peaceful, very idyllic. Walks, pubs, historical visits, everything was perfect. Cottage is wonderfully updated and has everything you could need.
It was a joy to stay at Dovenby Cottage! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, a delicious home made cake and eggs and milk. The amenities in the cottage are superb, the huge bed gloriously comfortable and everything was provided for a relaxing and restful stay. The location is perfect for sightseeing in the South Cotswolds and we were blessed with warm, sunny weather which added to our enjoyment. Definitely a place to come back to, so thank you Justin and Philippa for your help in making our week’s stay such a pleasure
This is a lovely cottage but was a little too remote for us

Why they chose this property
Built in 1900 as a stable block and tack room Dovenby Cottage has been used to house horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens, carts and even soldiers on leave from WWII.
In spring 2013 we lovingly converted it to a cottage of the highest quality, whilst keeping many of its period features.
We love this area of the South Cotswolds because whilst being a beautiful part of rural Wiltshire it has great accessibility to a wide range of amenities. We are surrounded by National Trust sites and properties such as Dyrham park, Laycock Abbey and Avebury, plus are very close to Bath and Bristol. One of our favourite things to do at the weekends is to walk to Castle Combe for lunch.
What makes this property unique
Dovenby Cottage is a lovely place to snuggle up on a cold day. It has underfloor heating throughout, but if you prefer this can be switched off and you can light a log fire. The cottage' garden has far-reaching views across fields.
Ideally located to venture in to Bath, yet escape the crowds for rural tranquility at the end of the day.
