After enjoying views of the rugged mountains and sea upon arrival, access the house via the smart lock and walk into the hall of An Teachín Corcra.
To the right you will find a welcoming sitting room, with a toasty warm inset wood-burning stove, a three seater couch, a work nook, 2 lounge chairs, coffee tables, board games in the console table and a tv connected to an Apple TV. A wide range of news, entertainment and music applications are pre-installed.
Across the hall is the Kitchen which is cosy and bright. It has all amenities needed whether you want to cook dinner, do some baking or chill with a nice hot drink. There is a large round table here that when pulled out can seat up to 5 people comfortably. A wood-burning stove fire with a back boiler provides excellent heating throughout the house via the radiators which it heats and the ventilation system.
To the far left is the king bedroom with a bedside locker, power outlets, and hangers for clothing. Although this is a small traditional cottage the bed is a modern king size.
Utility room with a washer, dryer, cordless vacuum and back door. Coats can be hung behind the doors. A wine rack and electric bottle opener can also be found in this room. This is where you will find the back door.
Bathroom, equipped with an electric shower, sink with mirror and electric razor port, toilet and heated towel radiator.
Double and single room, a bunked bed provides a double at the bottom and a single up top. A wardrobe, bedside table, bedside shelf, power outlets, mirror and chair are available in this room.
The owners passion is being environmentally conscious wherever possible. After acquiring the property was to increase the BER rating from an F which she achieved with a brilliant A3 rating. 14 photovoltaic solar panels and a 5kW battery reduce the amount of power imported from the grid. After powering the house excess power heats hot water for the sinks in the bathroom and kitchen and provides power for the EV charger. If there is any power left over it is exported to the grid. The windows and doors have all been updated to triple glazed (windows) and thermal insulating composite doors. These along with the addition of insulation in the walls and attic keep the house and a pleasant temperature throughout the year. This holiday home is offered as all inclusive therefore no extra charges.
Ventilation: A heat recovery ventilation system was installed throughout the cottage, this system removed pollutants and excess moisture from the air, providing a clean and healthy environment. The system also circulates heat throughout the house There is a boost switch in the utility room that will run the fans on high for 15 minutes, this is recommended to be triggered before having a shower.
Wood-burning Stoves: Both the kitchen and the lounge have highly rated energy efficient Wood burning stoves. These stoves provide great heat throughout the house and a lovely cosy atmosphere. The kitchen stove has a back boiler so while it is on, it will heat up water in the radiators throughout the cottage.
Smart security system: The House is monitored by a smart security system. This includes a doorbell and outdoor cameras. The owner can communicate via the doorbell.
Smart door lock: The main front door has a smart lock installed. This can be locked and unlocked in many ways including:
Personal pin code for the pin pad (Next to doorbell)
Apple TV: The sitting room has an Apple TV connected to the tv. I have installed a number of apps including news channels, streaming services, weather apps. Guests can feel free to log into any services they like. Please log out at the end of stay, but if you forget, don’t worry I will check all apps and log out any that weren’t at the end of your stay.
Separate washer and dryer: The utility room is equipped with both.
